MHz z drive oil or grease
Hi Guys. What oil or grease would you use in a MHz drive. The bearings are all sealed so I'm thinking a gear oil will be good. I have some high pressure 220 gear oil which is a synthetic oil. I also have a one 140 high pressure gear oil. Very sticky At the moment it smells like one has had an engine oil in it and the other gas has grease. Not to keen on grease just because once its off the gears thats your lot!!!! Cheers Jack

Managed to get my self a MHz complete. I also got a complete MHz upper section and gears do I can change my rcmk one to look like a MHz with square input drives!!!

here you go. Me rebuilding an SSI 14/71 hi helix retrofit blower from the tractor puller. Mike the power valve is mean to play around with the timing on the engine so the blade has to wrap around the piston... it works via a diapfram sensing the pressure on the exhaust port after the blade... the higher the rpm the more pressure so the diaprahm lifts the blade out to higher the exhaust port. if you did this on the exhaust outlet of the engine you would be interupting the sonic wave goming back so could make it alot worse!

I always kill my engine with a kill switch... this is what the ignition system is design to do! Even on WOT it will just kill the spark... Its no big deal to get water out the engine if your carbs open! For a fail safe system you basically need a relay kill thats normally closed so loss of power with earth the HT coil and it will kill.

The problems with a roots blower is the tolerances have to be quite high for them to work well. Out of all the different types of charges the roots takes the most hp to run. The centrifugal one takes the least.. How do you plan to go richer when boost is applied? A welbro carb will go lean Under boost that could be damaging. We ran water injection into a pipe on boat engines and it's very successful at fooling the sonic wave it's a shorter pipe than it actually is. Kind regards Jack

3channal to 4Channal
Hi Guys. I'm running a dx7 DSM2 Transmitter and im wanting to somehow get a 4 channal surface marine reciever. At the moment i run MR3000 with Throttle Steering Kill Switch on there is another output on the rx for steering so you can run twin servos! I want to Mix a trim servo in itso i can ajust the trim round the lake for turning and top speed! Just one issue that spectrum dont make a RX Marine Reciver with 4 Channals Is there any other way???

New Boat New Challenge!
Hi Guys, Ive bought another boat with the idea this will be my best build ever. Im not wanting to create a speed demom im wanting something that will be like the real thing!!! Im really just asking your opinion on what way you guys think is the best route! Ive decided im having Z drives on the back and scale looking trim trabs... Im also going to be fitting the Z drives with trim so i can trim it on the radio while its on the move. The Z drives are geared up 16% As for powerplants... I could run two tuned 30cc Zens with or without clutches on each Zdrive. or I could run a Twin that went onto a clutch and gearbox so i could counter rotate the z drives. or Run two seperate 30cc zens one counterrotating.. or 2 Twin straight to z Drives...(not sure of drives will take it tho) Comments please!!!

RCM and MHZ Z Drives
I already have a RCM Z drive and im looking for another RCM Z drive if anyone has one. I have cash waiting. I have been offered an MHZ Z drive that looks exactly the same as my RCM but are they internally? Is the RCM Geared up 16%???? With thanks Jack

Nice thread.:) I have to agree a real boat is an outboard boat!!! I just doms f1 and leg in the uk. Just in the middle of a revamp to make it abit easyer to get on with!!! i think you will see alot of cavitation issues joining to pumps together! Ive never seen it done in the real world...on jetskis and or jetboats they always go seperate... Where will the veins for the pump be??? they need to sit right behind the impeller to be and use. then where they join you'll be trying to force double the amount of water through the same reduction nozzle. i think if the two pumps where seperate then it work very well!!!!! how will you cool the engine from the plane? it will usually have a large prop sat at the front blowing cool air over it. Im looking at different pipes for my OB... Im running a YPC leg with a Tuned 31cc Stroker Zen on it... i do have a YPC centre bleed pipe but just wondering what else is on the market. After all half a two stroke power is from its Pipe. We did try a tuned 26cc pipe on it and it sounded stangled abit... Sounded fine with a stock zen on it... the 26cc is a weapon with same set up in a deep v hull with a nice straight pipe. Jack
