RE: XXXOFFICIAL OFNA CRT.5 THREADXXX
I looked at the Brushless E revo on youtube and that is awesome! Definitely my next truck. will be a long time, but still. Although my T maxx was a pos. My dads revo has been proven reliable. The e revo lost one of the regular revos problems. The shisty (misspelled on purpose) engine. IDK looks sweeeet to me tough.[:D]

HAHA thats weird because i will be racing often and was looking into an rc8e! It just doesnt have the ground clearence to have much fun at my house. I do a lot of playing around too. I have considered the flux, but it isn't as track worthy as the revo.

I don't own any brushless electrics, but i do have a question. Would i see a difference in performance between 25c and 30c? And if so where would i see the difference. On hobbycity it is $20 cheaper for 25c.

RE: Which is best... and why?
How does the Brushless E-Revo handle the power? It looks like it has too much plastic like the nitro revo. Such as the gears, driveshafts, and others. Could an E-Revo set up correctly hang with nitro truggies on a track? I am looking to race often in a truggy class, but want something that can bash too.

Yeah and it would be faster, lighter, more reliable, cheaper,... you know what just shush about your brushless... mines louder![:D] What's weird is that it ran fine until then so i don't think it is a tuning problem. It could be an air leak. I'll have to check it out tomorow. Also a good bit of info. for you converters. they make an electric CRT.5. It's not called a crt.5, but it is 1/12 and looks very similar. Here it is: [link]http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXJW3&P=7[/link] maybe not quite as good, but is cheap and looks decent.

RE: XXXOFFICIAL OFNA CRT.5 THREADXXX
well boys i've got some good news and some bad news. Good: I went racing this saturday and qualified 6th, because my truck was running funny and i had to drive my dad's revo in the truggy class. Then we got it running good and i was doing great against the full sized truggies... I lead the first 4 laps out of a 20 min. main.[:D] Bad: Nobody will tell me where to get smaller clutch bells and I only raced four laps[:(].. I flammed out, restarted, took it out again and flammed out again. I restarted about 5 times and by the third time i made it about ten feet then....buh.[:o] It will start fine, idle fine, but when i go to gas it it dies immediatly. Sometimes i will make about ten feet.[&o] What could cause this and how do i fix it???? It's sitting in my room like a wounded soldier.[:o]

Where can i find the smaller clutch bells? Also with your diff oil setup with the ten in the center. Does it "diff out" easily, because right now mine does it way too much. Two tires will be spinning like crazy and two will not spin at all.

Are the ones on the rear any special kind or brand of shock. Also i have massive tires that i bought and i was wondering where i could buy some gears to make it lower geared. What gear should i buy. Clutch bell, spur or what? I need it to make it quit a bit lower. Now with the tires on it overheats the engine due to too much load. I have to make it real rich.

RE: Two types of people at a track. My Newbie observation
I went up to someone at my track and asked where they bought there hex drives that fit in a drill. I looked everywhere for them. The guy said" your going to have to buy them" I wanted to say: well no $h** sherlock and then punch him. Just because i am "younger" as in 14, but look 16. I'm over 6ft. That pi$$ed me off. He thought that i was dumb enough to think that they were free. All i said was " i know where did you get them though?" Then i walked off. I don't know. Maybe i over-reacted, but it was still a d**k comment. Most of the people at my track are very nice and educated and are nice to me, because they all know my dad. ( X- worlds racer.) Placed 13th in buggy and 3rd in 1/10 scale truck in like 1904 or something... LOL. There are many very good racers at my track prob. like 5 that have been in the worlds. I hope i never actually buy a buggy. It would be a race for last. HAHA

I was thinking and i thought that since a 3.3 fit then a .23 rb concept conversion motor would fit...then i found out you have to buy their engine mount and i don't think it would fit. What all would i have to buy to convert to a .18 or 3.3 which is better?

RE: New to Truggies, Please Help!
For that price you need an RTR for $450 and under and spend the $100 on setup, Gas, and parts. That is if you didn't already include those. I was goin to get an MGT 8.0, but it would have been around $600 to make it durable. That's without electronics. So i bought an Ofna CRT.5 instead for $200..UPS SUCKS!...It isn't here yet. I spent the extra $150 i had on spare parts and setup such as shock oil and things. I also got bigger tires for more ground clearence as it will be a basher and rarely a racer. So you have to save some money for setup as THERE WILL NEVER BE ANY RC THAT IS PERFECT FOR YOU....unless you make it.[:D] Hope that helps, Jarrett

Yeah it's weird why aren't people interested. It doesn't make since. It's $200 and great quality. I have a question though. What is the biggest engine you can put in it with the stock mount or an aftermarket one. By what i've heard it is adjustable and can hold up to a .18 stock. I was wondering if it would hold a .21?

RE: MT vs Truggy, Round 2!
Out where i live an mt is better just for the clearence. Which i know a truggy can have with some ups, but the mt's wheelies, stoppies and other things are just more fun. The GC thing is because i have fourwheelers and many 30+ foot jumps that arent perfectly rc track smooth and i need something to soak up the rough which an MTs suspension does better.... I think becouse the more travel.

I dont know where he got that the mgt sucks, but i have heard that they are great and have tons of low end power. Which is where the fun is at. So you might take a look into that. The XXl seems to have a lot of problems IMO. Some are even missing parts. Was going to buy one then didn't. Look at "just recieved my xxl" then you'll know what to expect. Iknow the LST2's were a tank, but the XXL seem to be lacking.
