RE: Stinger 2
Hey Guys, I've got my new Stinger II up and flying. This airplane brings back a ton of memories for many of us. Just seeing that shape flying around takes me back to the mid 90's and the Stinger .40 I build with every cent I could make mowing lawns! Some details of my set up: OS .50 SX-H Engine w/ Bission Pitts Muffler using Powermaster 15% Power Blend Fuel 12x4 APC Prop 3152 Digital Futaba Servos 7C Futaba TX 6.0 volt 1600 Mha Nihm RX Battery Ended up weighing in at 5 lbs 3 oz with this set up. That is really light for the wing area and it is apparant in flight. Nice floater that you can get really slow or tear huge holes in the sky with. It snaps very quick and the KE flight performance is awesome. She will hover and harrier roll but you have to be carefull not to get to wild. I'm having a blast with it. Some pics of the finished airplane on the ground.

RE: Downwind turn Myth
Are you guys really that bored? 14 pages of arguing airspeed vs ground speed and how birds are lazy! This must be a good topic for some reason. I think you guys are confusing many things here. All that is stated is that airspeed is a seperate measurement from ground speed. Put an Eagle tree data logger in your airplane and measure the airspeed if you don't belive it. That is if you are good enough pilot to maintain an exact altitude for a few circuits. Using a loop to confirm this is just stupid. You are adding in gravity with a loop. Straight and level flight is the only way you can measure it. Yes I've done it 1000's of hours flying UAV's. No matter how high the wind is the airspeed always stays the same in level flight. The ground speed changes greatly depending on if your flying into the wind or with the wind. Here is another one I found suprising. With a given airspeed and altitude the wind speed has zero effect on fuel mileage.

I got mine going in 5 hours. Using an OS 1.10 Four Stroke with a 15x4W APC prop. She has plenty of power with this engine. It weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces without fuel. Hover just a touch over half throttle. KE flight is awesome with no coupling at all. Jason

RE: U CAN DO 3D???
Listening to you guys a person would think the .46 needs a .95 two stroke, balanced on the LE of the wing and for some reason they won't Knife Edge. Funny mine Knife Edges very well and flies on a .50 two stroke. Its CG is at 6" back from the LE. These airplanes fly awesome but you do have to watch the weight. The model in the pictures weighs 6 lbs 3 oz.

RE: Re-glue all ARFs to be safe
I've got some bad news for you guys. ARF's do not have ANY CA in them at all. They are all built with glue that cost much less than CA and can be dispensed in a production setting. Going over an ARF with Med CA is a good plan.

RE: The Goldberg Ultimate biplane...is dead.
.91 Four Stroke will fly this airplane very well. I have one in a Reactor bibe that is very similar in size and weight to the Goldberg Ultimate. It flies the heck out of it. Here is a video of me playing. The intro says 15x16 APC. Its really a 15x6 APC. Slight typo!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf7FbWx0kb8 John the .91 is a good choice! Jason

RE: Aeroworks .60.-.90 Yak
Not that this helps you in anyway but I have one set up for electric. Rimfire 80 using 6s 3700 lipos. Flew it three times with a 15x6e APC prop and the Airplane flew but not that great. Put an 15x8e APC on it and it is awesome. Unreal what a diffrence the prop can make on this size airplane. I would play with a few diffrent props before deciding your engine is not up to the job. As someone mentioned before the 91 fx like to spin. I would drop to a 14x6 and see what it does.

RE: Reactor 60 bipe control horn question
Carlos, I have one of these Reactors and have flown it all last season. I fly em really hard and have not had any issues. BTW the control horn mounting spots on the Reactor bibe have hard wood under there. Not realy hard but its not balsa. This method is working great for me. The servos are mounted the same way. I've never ripped on of them out. Jason

RE: Why do AeroWorks planes require so many channels?
Hey Justin, Aeroworks airplanes do not take more channels than any other airplane of the same size. Are you confusing channels with the number of servos per surface? It is much simpiler to set up multi servo surfaces with a seperate channel per servo. A 7 ch TX you are going to need to use Y harnesses or some kind of matching device with any multi servo per surface aircraft. Jason
ORIGINAL: JoeyCoates Hey guys, have a YS91ac that is looking for a home. How would this engine power the Reactor Bipe? I have the normal Reactor with a 55ax and it has great power, I do not need rocketship action, but I do want a strong pullout. Thanks
Mine has a .91 OS Surpass with a 14x6. It has strong pull out but not rocket. I have no doubt the YS91ac will have plenty of power.
