RE: Rabbit Multirotor Control Board.
Well, This morning I updated the firmware, recalibrated everything, put on a UBEC, turned the motor plugs upside down with only the data lines connected, plugged the ubec into motor plug #5 and she flew a lot better. Still some strange throttle oscilations so I cut the red bec wires and plugged in the motor wires normaly so the grounds and the data wires were plugged in. I tried raising and lowering the ballance gain but things did not change. It still has a slight oscilation but the motors sound much much smoother. It still gains and looses height at will but it seems I have complete control of the throttle so I can stop it from hitting the ground. I am flying over loose gravel and don't have much space so I can't test other features of the FC. Question: Should I be powering the reciever off the UBEC also?

RE: Rabbit Multirotor Control Board.
I took #2 bec and turned it upside down so just the signal wire was plugged in. I plugged in the battery and none of the esc's got warm. I ran the motors for a couple of minutes and all 4 of the esc's got warm but not hot. Soooo I think I'm going to go with this and see. Jerry

RE: Rabbit Multirotor Control Board.
You need a good spotter to keep an eye on the rig in the air and a very familiar area. I have been playing for a while now it's time to take the plunge. As soon as the weather cooperates I'll find out. I think it's like skydiving, you just have to do it. Jerry

RE: Rabbit Multirotor Control Board.
I agree with you, that was my original plan but I thought for an extra $15 it might be nice to have the extra features if I ever needed to use it on a plane. Jerry
ORIGINAL: randall1959 Personally, since the rabbit allready has everything but an osd, I'd go with the Cyclops Easy OSD. The Rabbit allready has built in stabilizing, RTH, auto land, and everything you need to maintain

Thanks for the reply, Randall I figured as much, although I don't understand why it wouldn't work. Thanks again Jerry
ORIGINAL: Jerry Campbell Hi Randall, I'm looking at the Rabbit controller for my first Quad build for FPV. I am also looking at the Cyclops Nova OSD... feature on the OSD. Thanks Jerry
I'm pretty sure you can't. At least I've never

RE: Rabbit Multirotor Control Board.
Hi Randall, I'm looking at the Rabbit controller for my first Quad build for FPV. I am also looking at the Cyclops Nova OSD. My question is can I hook up the Nova OSD between the receiver and the Rabbit FC and use the RTH feature on the OSD. Thanks Jerry
