RE: F-16>> OLD BVM vs OLD Yellow
The BVM is definately the better of the two.Make sure you add some extra reinforcement in the form of carbon fiber cloth to the top of wings where they join the fuse. The F-16 has a lot of wing flex in this area on high G turns.

RE: JR Spectrum Failure for Jet use.
One of the most overlooked problems with a failed 2.4 system is the transmitters that use the plug in module such as the JR10X.The module needs to checked for any looseness in the fit to the transmitter and secured if needed.

RE: BVM Ultra Viper Turbine?
Gary Mueller of Jet-Tech fuel tanks has a conversion for your application which shares the same basic fuse as a Maverick or a Aggressor III.I did a Ultra Viper conversion usings Garys inlets, tanks, bypass etc 2 yrs ago and it flew great with a T-500 engine.

RE: Replacing Intairco Worn Tires
Dave,I cut the old ones off and coated the new ones with a soapy solution, laid the rim on a piece of plywood so not to damage it and placed tire on rim and stomped it with my heel.It took two or three attempts, but tire popped right on rim.The old fasion way works the best for me. Oh! be sure to wear shoes when attempting this.Gerry

RE: Upgrading turbine in Bobcat, what do I need?
Use a 1/2" + mount for the P-80 and you will clear the fuse and be able to use the Jet Cat FOD screen.Tilt engine about 5 degrees down .I see you have a mount raising your 500 up for clearance so use same principle on your new P-80SE

RE: BVM Electra wings on a BV Ultra Viper
I had the same thought, but ended up contacting FlyingFoam.com in CA. and sending them Maverick wing plans to cut a set of Mav. wing cores.I then used the hardware from the Viper wings to construct the wings.Flyingfoam probably has this on record so they can cut future cores.I do have a extra set of cores.

RE: PCM10X 2.4Ghz issue
If ?? your transmitter battery is good,I would say your problem was in the loose module.I am running the same system and have for the past year with no problems, but I secured the module by inserting wood behind the module ears to spread them out and then I taped it over with clear 3M tape.

RE: RX antennas...
Modelers not using a 2.4 system have used Revolution or Deans antennas inside the fuselage to hide the antenna mast or just ran the standard receiver wire inside the plane.External antennas eliminated most all internal radio interference.

RE: How do you fix a cloudy canopy?
Once acetone is on a canopy, nothing short of wet sanding it with 1200 to 1500 grit and clear coating is going to fix it correctly.

RE: Beefing up a BVM Bobcat
I think that throttle management would definately be called for with a 120SE.Way overpowered for a Bobcat.A 21 lb P-80 would be a better choice.
