RE: FLY EAGLE JET models 2012
Hey Keith, Did you use this technique with the boxes already glued in place or before you glued them in? I use the wire technique, but with the FEJ Hawk there is little room to get wire in once the servo boxes are in, plus they are solid on the wing root side of the box. So in other words I would have to snake the wire in then get it to bend 90 degrees to go into the box. I have built one FEJ Hawk already, what I did was snaked my wire in first then fit and glued my boxes. I can't imagine this being fun after they are glued. I think Rex mentioned this also in his Hawk manual. This my not be true with all FEJ models, but the Hawk has a limited space in the wings.

RE: FLY EAGLE JET models 2012
Hey James...You may want to have the company run the string to pull the servo leads through if the boxes are pre-installed. From my previous experience of building your Hawk, once the boxes are installed it is pretty tough to get the leads through without the preinstallation of string. I ran string into the box areas before gluing the boxes in place. If they are pre-installing during the mold process, it would be pretty simple for them to run the string for both the ailerons and the flaps as there isn't much room once installed. Something to consider! BTW-Waiting on my custom painted Large Hawk patiently!

BAe Hawk Purchase Suggestions!!
Hi All, I'm looking for another Bae Hawk 160-180 size. Skymaster & Airworld which has scale looking gear and doors. I particularly like the Airworld 1/4 scale at 110" in length, but don't like the one piece wing. Also, there doesn't seem to be alot of information out there on the bigger of the two Airworlds or even a build thread that I have found. If anyone knows of anything on the 1/4 Airworld Hawk please add a link or email me. What do you guys think of the other Hawks out there and your experiences. Should I go with the Skymaster or Airworld? I do know the 1/4 scale Hawk is tickling the Skygate price range, that could also be a option. Thanks guys in advance!

Amp Draw on servos???
Hi All, I'm getting .10 amps on my flap servos at neutral, when they are deployed in motion a little higher but once they get set i'm getting about .05 amps. Is this Ok? Then when I pull the flaps back to nuetral my amps no longer settle at .10 it's around .14amps. Is there any need to be concerned about these numbers? It's setup on a 1/4.5 Hawk from Fly Eagle Jets and the flaps are pretty big, the servos are Hitec 7955. What kind of amp draws are you guys seeing? Thanks Again for all the help!

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
747, I knew that would be coming next. Well here we go! It's obviously not enough to compare. But, I found your answer: http://www.aviationinterviews.com/pilot/airlinepayrates.html If this holds true...You REALLY don't want to talk finances with me. I made more money last year alone on investments then your entire years salary, that doesn't even include my earned income of $40k-50K/month average. How does $93K last month alone sound just on one nationally known case. Not only that I am my own boss, don't have to answer to nobody. Again, comparing your finances to mine IS like comparing BVM to Modellbau! I'm Done here, jokes on you 747, you bark up the wrong tree this time! Back to the issues at hand!

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
747, Comparing BVM to Modellbau..The only similarities are the wheels and brakes and I think they got that idea from BVM. If people have a problem with a manufacturer other members need to be made aware of it. You are the only one that has supported this nonsense from Modellbau, well that lets us know how shallow you are. Was it because you accidentally got that new V3 upgrade kit? Do you feel obligated now? As for the finance side of it, Well I guess my signature line touched a nerve. We know how you paid for that New Bandit, Did you get that CC statement yet? What a joke you are! Now you can keep your dumb comments to yourself!

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
747..You just bought a New BVM bandit ARF and the formers were not glued? Now you are saying BV doesn't take pride in his stuff too huh? I call you bluff on that one..As I have owned a BVM Bobcat. Are you getting paid by Modellbau to protect his imagine. BVM and Modellbau are in two different classes, Period!

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
Henry, You are wrong for that reply. You did not have to wait for me. I simply told you I was in a meeting and for you to send me over a invoice and I would pay it right away and you never did and you never called me back. I have the text messages confirming that. You also told me that if I pay I would be number 120 in line for one, If I understood you right there was no longer a waiting list because you had an extra 7 according to your previous post. I'm not the only person that says your customer service is horrible. That Tornado that you shipped to GA belongs to a friend of mine and he also said that his experience with you was very unprofessional and your estimated delivery dates are not even close to actual dates. But, as you always do, you blame the consumer for your mistakes and you don't accept negativity very well. From my very first call to you, you were very short and blunt with any questions I had about the plane as if you didn't feel like answer questions but just wanted my CC#. Thanks but No Thanks, you can keep it. For all you guys that say Henry is a stand up guy, wait until you have a problem or need parts! Good Luck! This is the same guy that couldn't even supply me with a engine mount let alone a wing or boom. Once the charge is made you can forget about customer service! Good Luck Tornado Owners!

RE: Landing Lights
Thanks for all the replies guys! I ended up going with the Solarforce replacement bulb and reflector for flashlights at at 420LM Cree XM-L (blinding bright)$15 and a micro switch $1.50. I have it running on it's own 4.8v battery, my UP3 retract valve plunger pushes on the micro switch to turn the lights off when the gear is retract. When the gear down is switched the plunger releases the micro switch and the light comes back on for landing. I used a on/off switch to control main power to light and toggle switch. Works perfect!

Hey Guys! I had a JC Rabbit VT90 on mine with the Dreamwork tank and a BVM UAT and my timer was set to 8 mins and I still had about 1-1.5" of fuel left. The tank I had in before buying the DW one was the stock with the inside the tank vent which I couldn't fill all the way, my timer was set to 7 mins.

Jetkopter.. There are tons of purples on sale in the classified, but I don't see many if any Jet Central on there. I have been looking for over a month now, I wonder why. Not only that, Jetcat is like a auto mechanic and you purple guys are getting taken to the cleaners and don't even realize it. I owned ONE purple and had it serviced and due to the service bill I WILL NEVER own one again.
