RE: Ducted fan fuel- mix turbine oil and nitro fuel?
I just picked up some Cool Power 10%. The engine i'm running is an OS .77. So a good ounce of turbine oil would you say?

Id like to know the mods he did to that Pico, if he did any....? Anyone else try running props on small car engines? I have a .12 OS somewhere around here from and old Kyosho buggy tat ran pretty sweet. Just can't remember where I put the $%#@ thing. I'd give 'er a try once I find it. :D

RE: Ducted fan fuel- mix turbine oil and nitro fuel?
Wow, this is a really OLD post BUT due to that fact that I am building a DF right now, I am going to try the turbine oil route as I happen to have some leftover from when I used to have my turbines. 15% sport fuel a hearty 1 ounce of turbine oil it is! :) Wish I had of noticed this years ago, ugh!

The quietest muffler...??????
Reading through these posts got me thinking on how the stock muffler on the Predator gas is rather loud. Compared to my vario benzin it's like twicw as loud. So,what muffler out there can i get that will give me the quietest operation on this engine? I would even build one if I knew dimensions and what not. This keeps making me think about my dad's Honda generator and how that thing is the absolute quietest running, gasoline powered engine I have ever/never heard! As my Pred is used for AP, I would really be interested in hearing opinions on this.

I must say that the Canadians sure do have some of the coolest paint schemes for F-18's eh? :) If i ever do get around to building one, I would most definitely paint it in the AETE colors. :)

Did anyone see this episode yet? If not i'll give the 5 second rundown. A guy who calls himself "Fusionman" jumps out of airplanes with a set of wings that has 4 Jetcat turbines on them giving him 88kg of thrust. Some guys have all the fun! :D:D:D:D Here's a couple pics i found on the net.

RE: What kits have you SEEN come apart mid air?
I believe it was an early twin DF version of the Yellow Aircraft F-22. This was maybe 10 years ago???? at Bay of Quinte. A vertical tail came off on a high speed low pass. The plane eventually met terra-firma. I actually manage to get that on video too. Myles

I planned on doing a turbine version but ended up selling my turbine. So now I'm going back to the DF version which is still an awesome plane. :D MrMike is correct on the canopy eh? The old style ones had a better "cool" factor than the new ones. :) Myles

Byro Blaster Enforcer- Arrggh!!!
I am building my 3rd Byro Blaster Enforcer and I have run into a tiny problem :( Well, i have looked for about 4 days now and I cannot find my plans for the engine pod! DOH! I even photocopied the components/formers off the plan as a back-up but i can't find them either. (they're with the original plan---some back up eh??) Does anyone have the plan they are not using any more? I would even settle for photocopies of the formers from it-NOTE I am not out to re-sell the plan or copies or anything! i just need the former drawings! (I still have the Flying models magazine article that came with the plans when I originally bought it so i wouldn't need that.) I sure would appreciate this and would gladly cover shipping to have 'em sent to me. Is there anyone who can help me out? regards Myles

RE: Craig Aviation F-22, anyone got one?
Yes indeed, I do know that it is a YF-22 and not an F-22. Just faster to type that's all. :) Actually, no I don't have a Byron fan setup yet, I sold about 7 of them 7 or 8 years ago. LOL I do know that others have converted to Dynamax setups too. They're are still Byrons out there to find though. :) What happened was I got reminiscing of the old MAN article about this jet and how much I liked it. Wanted one since then so I thought I would start looking around to see what's out there for old kits or partial kits for me to work at. It would make a good jet model for the field I have to fly from now I think. :) OH, and I just happen to have a bifurcated turbine exhaust just in case. ;) (for the future) Hmm, I was looking at the Skymaster F-22 and I see it's only $795...? man that's a good price! I have been "told" that the Skymaster ARF F-22's were built rather heavy, hence the low price....? NOTE!!!! I'm not trying to stir up anything by saying that, it's just what I had heard out there in cyberspace. I have seen videos of the Skymaster F-22 and it looked awesome to me. :) Myles
