RE: RC10GT2 Engine?
i suggest a O.S .12TZ 3port. drops right in. puts out 1.5 HP @ 40,000 rpm. the stock .15 motor only puts out .3 HP @ 20,000rpm. but you will need new motor nounts n a bump box. motor runs about $250-300

RE: Pressure loss problem, open to suggestions
i would be looking for a exhaust leak. if , possibly exhaust manifold gasket. it might be fine at idle but at higher rpms it could cause a problem. either way it would start to run lean n give tunning problems.

RE: jut picked up a rc10gt2, have a few questions
as far as gop ups go, start with a pipe n manifold. i would stay away from alum parts cus if you bend them the car will handle crappy n u might not even see the bend. better to break a $5 control arm then bend a $20 one n cause more probs. the carb restrictor just pulls out. i would leave it though n just get a better high flow air filter. when tunning remember its a small motor. make adjustments at 1/8 turn at a time n watch temp carefully either with a temp gun or a "Venom fail safe system" best $50 i ever spent

RE: jut picked up a rc10gt2, have a few questions
it is supposed to bog when you first punch it. and there should be a puff of smoke then a steady stream. it prob stopped starting because its too lean ( too much air n not enough fuel ) remember the only oil in the motor comes from the fuel so when u run lean it gets hot fast. we all want instant throttle response but it will damage the motor. for the stock needle settings you can go to rc10.com to get the factory settings

RE: RC10GT Help!!!!!!
also check that you dont have a exhaust leak. if you do it wont pressurize the gas tank.

RE: RC10 GT2 RTR
RTR is a good way to start. its the same chassis n since it comes with a motor it allows you to learn to tune the motor before you drop $300 on a motor n all that. my truck srated as a RTR n now is far from it, check out my pics in my profile, n i was able to build it up as the $ was available n still ablr to play with it in the meen time. i do recomend buying the Venom fail safe system. its $50 but protects you against over heating , it shows you engine temp n protects against radio interfierence and "run aways"

RE: RC10 GT2 RS
the white thing in the car is a restrictor. you will get more power but be carefull you arent running lean. the motor will heat up quick ! when you first punch it you should get a puff of smoke n then a steady stream of smoke when running. if not then its to lean. I recomend a pipe from THS racing. a short stubby pipe will give you more bottom end torque while a longer pipe will give you more top end. a THS pipe should run $40-50 n it was the first thing i changed with my RTR n it made a difference. now my truck is far from RTR

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*
if you are looking to stiffen your shocks you can ,change shocks , or even just change the disk inside the shhocks. the size of the holes n how many affect the dampering, u can also go with heavyier weight shock oil. and even change the springs. the different color springs are different spring . if you end up buying a new radio, i suggest a futaba 2.4 gig using the FASST system. it doesnt come with servos but it works great. it changes freq constantly so you will never get interfierence. im running a GT2 with adj shocks, 30wt oil, futaba 3pk FASST system n a O.S .12TZ 3port motor putting out 1.5 hp at 33,000rpm ( redlines at 40000) hope any of this info helps you
