RE: Top Flite Cessna 182 ARF
I installed a hardwood bearing on rudder control arm and short push rods to stop the flutter. Also I installed baffling on my saito fg 20 to stop the overheating. You do not want to open up the bottom of the cowl because it will decrease the cooling.

RE: Is Aeroshell 500 Turbine Oil still the consensus choice
Do not use API TC or JASO F. It gets sticky when it sits for awhile, and you will have to wash the bearings out to start the engine. The oil gets thick like STP. Use TCW 3 or better yet use DTE lite or GST iso 32.

RE: What allows Kingtech to use diesel where others say you can't?
Winter diesel is diesel #1. I think diesel #1 is very close to kerosene.

RE: Boomerang Sprint Build Thread!
You can use a sheep-skin shammy IN a funnel to remove the water from the fuel. Once the shammy is soaked in the fuel, it will not pass water. This method has been used for many years when fueling aircraft from drums.

Try using chevron HiPerSYN iso 32 it has a 28 deg C higher flashpoint then Mobil dte light. Very close to Aeroshell 500.

RE: P-80 bearing replacement
If it has 6mm nut it needs a new shaft with 10mm nut. Also the stator support ring around the turbine wheel shrinks and locks the turbine.

RE: Top Flite Cessna 182 ARF
jmaurin, I think he only takes credit cards. I will call him tomorrow and find out. The sensor will not work with the saito ignition. You have to buy the complete unit from CH Ignitions. I think the price is $99.00. I installed the ch ignition on my engine today and it starts easier with the ch ignition than the saito ignition. When setting the timing, the ch ignition would spark when the engine was barely turning. With the saito ignition, you had to turn it quite rapidly to get a spark. You have to buy the rimfire spark plug because the saito plug will not work with the cap.
