RE: best profile arf for ke and rolling circles
A guy on another site mentioned that he used an OS 120AX on a RazorYak. He said it balanced great and had crazy power. The Fusion 90 will do an awesome knife edge and great rolling circles. Another option for that 55AX is a Sabre 40 ARF from valuehobby.

RE: Fun Fly w/ 3D flying is prohibited
ORIGINAL: combatpigg He still hasn't told us how many guys quit the AMA over this horrible incident.......[8|]
It's not how many quit the AMA. It's what the average age of the AMA member is. If you don't know the answer combatpigg, I think it will surprise you. When the 59 year old crusties quit flying in the next decade, the membership is going to be hurting. We all need to get on the bandwagon and promote R/C and AMA membership.

RE: Sabre 47
I flew mine with a Saito 72. The Sabre is light and the 72 is plenty. This is a lot of plane for the money it is being sold for, and it's a hardcore 3Ders type of plane with no bad habits.

Thanks for the info BAX. I'm an R/C lifer and I'll give Monokote another try. White was the color I had the most trouble shrinking. JW

RE: Unacceptable practices
RC Pete's 7 unforgivable sins scared me so bad that I bought a hardcore 3D, .90 size profile plane and joined a profile plane group that doesn't talk like him. We fly hard and enjoy life!!!! Pete's 8th rule should be no run-on sentences.[:)]

RE: Ultracote Vs. Monokite
ORIGINAL: tarvma02 Up until about 2003, Monokote was the best covering on the market. It produced the finest gloss/finish and was not difficult to apply. They have better colors than Ultracote. They changed it around 2003 due to EPA regulations/cost cutting and it's now a very bad and unusable covering. It doesn't shrink and gets very brittle. It will make the most seasoned veteren look like a child covering his first trainer. I use Ultracote now because new Monokote is not usable. You really have no choice today but to use Ultracote until they fix the Monokote formula. Ultracote is a nice covering but it's not as good as pre-formula change Monokote. Up until 2003, with the same skill at application, a pre-change Monokote job was always superior to an Ultracote job. Mike
Thanks Mike. I knew it changed but I didn't know why. I loved it and now I hate it. I use Ultracote almost exclusively except for graphics because monokote works better with the windex / squeegee technique. If you look real close, Ultracote in now dang near as glossy as monokote. It's a shame for us that they changed it. I can't get monokote to shrink very well and that's a huge thing when covering. Let Hobbico go on acting like the king with no clothes. We know there's something wrong but they won't address it. JW

RE: mojo .60 with magnum .91 4 stroke.
Hey jimmyjames, come down to the probro in wellsville. Fishman uses the 91 on his mojo 60 and I was so impressed that I put one on my Kat 70 (6lbs 2 oz.) The magnum has a little bit more power and a little bit more weight, but it totally kills the saito 91 when it comes to fuel consumption. I've had mine for 2 yrs now and very happy with it. The throttle is very linear and they are reliable. They run great on an APC 14X4. The bad stories that I hear about the magnum 91's are from the guys that have old ones that were made 3-4 years ago. I don't mess around with engines that have issues and I've had none with this one. JW

RE: To Tailwheel or not to Tailwheel
Hi Ernie, I use whatever I have. I've got some with skids, some with steerable gear, and some with free floating gear / wheels that just turn with the direction of the plane on the ground. Use the one that helps your plane balance the best. There's nothing scientific about it on profiles. The profile guys like simple, reliable stuff on the tail.

RE: Are Profiles Out
ORIGINAL: Constrictor Profiles are in[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
I agree, they are still at the top of their popularity and not waning. I good 60-90 size profile will 3D like a 5K plane. That's what I like about them. The other site is loaded with hardcore 3D flyers that learned by doing it themselves and burning lots of fuel.

I've had two OMP Edges, along with a mojo 40, mojo 60, primo 40 and primo 60 ( 60 is under construction). I'd get a mojo or primo.

The wood in a mojo kit is lighter and softer that a baby's butt and the plane 3D's in a beginners hands. The landing gear is typical 5/32 wire just like most others.
