RE: mojo .60 with magnum .91 4 stroke.
Hey jimmyjames, come down to the probro in wellsville. Fishman uses the 91 on his mojo 60 and I was so impressed that I put one on my Kat 70 (6lbs 2 oz.) The magnum has a little bit more power and a little bit more weight, but it totally kills the saito 91 when it comes to fuel consumption. I've had mine for 2 yrs now and very happy with it. The throttle is very linear and they are reliable. They run great on an APC 14X4. The bad stories that I hear about the magnum 91's are from the guys that have old ones that were made 3-4 years ago. I don't mess around with engines that have issues and I've had none with this one. JW

RE: Mojo or Primo
I have both and I like them very much. Toss a coin and go for one or both! They fly great with a Saito 100.

RE: To Tailwheel or not to Tailwheel
Hi Ernie, I use whatever I have. I've got some with skids, some with steerable gear, and some with free floating gear / wheels that just turn with the direction of the plane on the ground. Use the one that helps your plane balance the best. There's nothing scientific about it on profiles. The profile guys like simple, reliable stuff on the tail.
ORIGINAL: ThumbSkull The Primo60 needs a YS110 or Saito125 to be happy. I have flown the 40 size Primo and they do fly great.
Mine weighs 6lb 3 oz and it does great with a 100 on 20% nitro.

RE: Are Profiles Out
ORIGINAL: Constrictor Profiles are in[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
I agree, they are still at the top of their popularity and not waning. I good 60-90 size profile will 3D like a 5K plane. That's what I like about them. The other site is loaded with hardcore 3D flyers that learned by doing it themselves and burning lots of fuel.

RE: Which .40 profile does the best harrier?
I've had two OMP Edges, along with a mojo 40, mojo 60, primo 40 and primo 60 ( 60 is under construction). I'd get a mojo or primo.
ORIGINAL: RCPAUL Do a search here. You will find lots of input on this kits weaknesses. paul
You're talking about the fun51 right? The wood in a mojo kit is lighter and softer that a baby's butt and the plane 3D's in a beginners hands. The landing gear is typical 5/32 wire just like most others.

RE: Airframe for the YS63S powerplant
I have a 63 in a Primo. If you want to advance in 3D in a hurry, humble yourself and try a mojo, primo, or one of the OMP profiles. Both companies sell profiles that 3D like expensive planes. The 60-67" profiles with the right engine will 3D like a 5K plane. If you just want to keep doing basics like walls and blenders, there are a gazillion arfs out there for that 63. Spin the wheel and take your pick from Horizon and Tower Hobbies, they all do pretty much the same limited stuff . Wessco and I are hardcore 3D flyers and demand top performance from our stuff. You have the right engine, now get yourself a sturdy hardcore 3D plane to learn all the 3D moves[;)] JW

Futaba (Edited Title) NOT discontinuing 72mhz!! Thanks BAX!
Hey BAX, it seems that several of the 72mhz systems offered by Futaba are drying up FASST. There are more and more 2.4 ghz available, and fewer 72mhz. According to my information, 72mhz will be legal to use for years to come with no mention of end in sight. Is Futaba going to do their best to fix that and us, by eventually only selling 2.4? It sure looks like it with what they are shifting to right now. For those who like 72mhz or are heavily invested in it, should we begin to look to other manufacturers that still seem 72mhz friendly? I scanned this forum history and didn't see anything about this topic, but maybe I missed it? Thanks, JW
ORIGINAL: Futaba has not discontinued 72 MHz systems.
But they have begun, and as an example, the $300 - $350.00 9C series has been replaced with a $600 dollar 2.4 ghz. ; Per your quote - http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=7555843 Some are getting a feeling that Futaba is about to turn a corner on us. Chuck, firemedic is right. As an example, I had a bad experience with a Saito and I hated it. On the other hand, I put a Saito 100 on a Mojo 60 and it was awesome. I think we all get a dud engine once in a while if we R/C much. JW
