RE: 2s lipo unregulated on the RX, anyone running this?
were talking about a 71" slick, E powered, but no BEC, a 2 cell lipoly straight into the RX with tower hobbies servos ( I know.... ) digital TS150's... tower servo's straight up suck, not gonna lie. But thats not the question at hand.

2s lipo unregulated on the RX, anyone running this?
I have a bird I bought that came this way, and Ive flown it 10 times now and it works great, and the previous owner has run it a long time like this, but I cant stop thinking about the power getting to the servo's, I know the RX can handle it, but how long with the servo's? Looking for people that have run this setup to chime in. Thanks!

Damn cool stuff! My sold one of my toys last week :( Ran 10's at 126mph just on the N/A small block. It was fun going 50mph in drive and flooring it turning the tires into smoke at will. RE: Screwed by HobbyKing
ORIGINAL: edh13 I apply my 3 “Harbor Freight Tool rules when buying from HK: 1) Okay to buy consumables – Glue, sandpaper, rags, tape etc. 2) Okay to buy tools with no moving parts – Hammers, chisels, punch, scrapers etc. 3) Be prepared to throw it away without regret.
Maybe we have more luck in my part of the world, a few friends have harbor freight generators, they work great! I have bought a few saws (radial arm saw, sawsall, etc) from HF, all work great! I love that store too. Maybe its more user error coming to play here.

RE: Screwed by HobbyKing
1: They should have sent you a replacement servo 2: What do you expect from HK anyway, knowing how cheap the stuff is, it can fail 3: Ive been buying stuff from them for many years, and have spent alot of money there, and have only had a cheap gyro fail, so I bought another, its still going. 4: When you realized they were giving you the run around you should have taken the $8 your complaining about and went and bought another servo and been over it. Its the chance you take, some people have sent stuff back and had awesome customer service, some have not, its hit or miss, luckily for me everything works great, and Im going to keep giving them money! I love hobby king!

RE: Airfield P47 with Retracts
Cool, I just flew mine yesterday, got it second hand, corrected the CG which is very far off in the manual, but it flies on rails, super predictable, no bad habits, alot of fun. Its an older one with the 3 blade [:@] prop on it... I put about 8oz of lead in the nose, and used a 4s 4000 pack, other than that its stock. But the plane is a blast.
