RE: century RTF questions
yep, my esc took a crap (could of been the 6s i tried hehe) so i opted for the bigger 85-100 new esc for when i bump to the 600 motor soon. the 550 is ok but its weak for any serious flying with a 4s battery. being i already bought a 6s battery i cannot decide on a 600 motor to handle the 6s or get a 5s and try that for now with the 550 as thats all it can handle
ORIGINAL: catkiller  I bought one wish I had boght a kit now ,gyro burnt up ,could not seem to get it to fly ,changed the gyro radio rx all the servos and upgraded with a metal hub for the head, now it flys like it suppose to if you already bought the rtf I suggest you make the same upgrades and you will be happy, btw the plastic hub came apart with me and part of the rotor hit my hand hard enogh to bruise and I was a good fifty feet when the rotor gave way the copter just fell away from the rotor and for a split second it looked like the enterprise when the saucer section seperates
exactly...... i replaced all the electrics and went from their. no issues with the head tho and ive had it pretty high and far away.
ORIGINAL: fabiomel Hi, The KDS Flymentor works with the Belt CP V2 eletronics? Thank You!
im trying to find in the post where this was asked? i did get mine on a while back had plenty of putting around the yard as i will call it. went out to the airport where we got a rc club. own runway and stuff. seems to fly good but in hard ff its always trying to correct it self making the tail bounce up and down. and i tried some hard stall turns and ended up losing it as i could not control the cyclic for some reason. i removed it since then and im gonna try the same manuever again to see why i failed. thanks

century hawk pro or raptor 30?
trying to debate on what to get for a first nitro heli. i have a century swift now and am getting better but flying time is limited do to batteries. so im thinking of goin nitro. have a few nitro trucks so i know the basics on engines just trying to decide what to get for a heli. the hawk is somewhat cheaper but i hear great things on the raptors also. or is the 60 alot better of a choice. a local friend has a raptor 60 with a scale body running the os .70 and it flies great but we are talkin almost double the money for that. any ideas/ suggestions will be considered also thanks http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=397 http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=440 and the best place to buy these also. heli-world seems very competitive and ive bought alot from them also.
ORIGINAL: bhcnomo you can put a dress on a pig and hug it and kiss it and call your own but its still a pig
Hehe, im not gonna say its the best quality out their ..... its by far not.... but for a cheap easy to learn on heli its not to shabby.. yes shabby... Like any heli that says rtf ur gonna have to tweak it some and even go as far as adjusting the linkages some. its great to learn on and light enough that u can crash it several times with minimal damage if u got some decent blades. mine got caught in a gust of wind hit so hard it blowed the canopy into pieces yet didnt harm any other parts. oh invest in some super skids also as stockers are super brittle also like the blades

RE: Walkera CB180D - just got it!
ORIGINAL: bhcnomo I was making a statement about the quality of the product but thanks for your help john the design is good but the materials use in its manufacturing are cheep the metal parts are too soft and bend easly and screw heads stripe out way to easy the plastic used is brittle and breaks easily see i through R-T-F was Ready-To-Fly but it don't it means Ready-To-Fix
each their own but only think i have broke are the junk blades, i converted to direct drive tail with the good rail blade (indestructable) and got the esky high perf. blades. they actually will bend b4 breaking. do some research get a few good upgrades wont cost much and have fun.

So, what your saying is the swash is all the way tilted one way and it still wont go that way? throw up some pics and describe your problems. mine was pretty close out of the box. i did minimal trim and its a very stable heli.

Um..... do u have any experience in helis? because if u would have got that trex 250. you would be pulling ur hair out in minutes after attempting to pilot it. It is very hard to fly for a begginner pilot. stick with the cb180 or grab a coaxial to practice with for a while. and whats wrong with your cb180 i have one and havnt had any issues with it.

exactly he gave you all the parts you wanted and you still complained. for all anybody knows you tightened it to tight and cracked it and as soon as you spooled up it broke under pressure. ding ding ding Do us all a favor and thank the man for shipping you all those parts for free and post how the heli flies now os we can get a better idea how the exi is

charging lipos
i picked up a pretty nice charger. skycharger B6Ac has alot of options and i can choose the amperage to charge my batteries. my question is what to charge them at. i have a few 4s1p one is a 3300mah and the other 3000mah and a 2s1p 1000 mah and a 2s1p 850mah what should these be charged at for amperage? nasically is it better to charge at say 1amp or is that to low. and if im wanting to fast charge whats to much without hurting the lifespan ive searched for a while now and cant seem to find any answers on amperage.

RE: ar6100 wireing it up
well, i just got it installed today and trying to get it working. everybody ive talked with absolutely love it. and in the future i wantto take some aerial video. i also thought it might help me learn to hover in all directions before i take the big leap and go more than 25 feet away from myself. so the pitch servo in the aux is right? i was told to put the co-pilot in that spot but then i have no idea where to put the pitch servo.

what motor
in a recent mishap i thought i fried my motor ( 550 1300kv ) in my century swift 16 so i order one and it ended up being the esc, so i upgraded to the new 80 amp that will handle 25 volts so a 6s battery but my motor will only take a 5s, well long story short i have a brand new 6s1p battery (how i burnt up esc) just sitting here now and im gonna return the spare 550 i got as its the same as my stocker. it was only 50 bucks but the next one up is around 119 bucks that will handle a 6s battery. is their any brands or anything specific i can use that may be cheaper? 5mm shaft also if that helps century told me to get this http://www.centuryheli.com/products/productdetail.htm?prtnm=CNE274¤tid=548 this is what i have now http://www.centuryheli.com/products/productdetail.htm?prtnm=CNE277¤tid=510

ar6100 wireing it up
Well, yeah its gonna sound dumb to some ppl but evidentally im doing something right but wrong? im using a dx6i with a ar6100 on my century swift 16. currently here is how its setup battery - co-pilot 2 throttle - BEC alie - aileron elev - elevator rudd - tail rudder servo gear - gyro HH aux - pitch servo is this correct? i was told to use the aux for power on my co-pilot but then if i unplug my pitch servo where do i put it? yes this is the first time ive had to setup a rx so take it easy on me. thanks
