RE: How Cool Is A Dremel!!!!
Dremels are bitchin! I swear if they sold dental tools for it, I'd never have to go to the dentist again!

RE: Bashing truggy
XTM XST!! You will have a couple hundred dollars left over to upgrade or replace any broken parts! Parts replacement is definitely a concern for bashers cuz sooner or later it will break. Good Luck!

RE: New to Truggies, Please Help!
Someone else said it before, go with what you can get parts for. If you live close to Hobby People go for the XTM XST. Great price point for a rtr truggy. You can upgrade as you go. IMO dont fix it if it aint broke. Just cuz you spend $600 on a higher end truck doesnt mean that its bulletproof. Alot of people dont like Hobby People or XTM for some reason but the longest time I have had to wait for parts is 15 minutes......cuz they were busy. IMO If you really get in to racing then you can always upgrade to a higher end truck but if you dont really get into then you spent alot more money for nuthin. Good Luck!! If you are havin fun......who cares!

RE: Newbie
As far as thrills go....you can do all of the crazy, reckless s#$* you always wanted to do with a dirt bike/dune buggy/car etc. and cause no bodily harm to yourself. Unless you run into your shin doing 50mph! Also, you definitely need to be mechanically inclined you will be wrenching as much as you are driving. In my opinion...just as fun! Good Luck!

RE: Glow Starter Battery Replacement
It looks like that type of glow starter has heatshrink around the battery. Im not sure if you can change out the battery unless you cut the heatshrink and then re-do it. The glow starter I have is aluminum and you unscrew the cap off and replace the battery.

RE: rebuild vxl
mine does the same thing. i usually have to turn the throttle trim knob back and forth or give it a little push as well. I use NiMh stick packs so i thought it might be the battery quality. I bought it from a guy who swapped it out for a Novak system. huh....wonder why??

RE: Maxamps Lipos
Hey scarletboa. Can you use that battery with your rustler vxl? I have a vxl system in my xcellerator and want to use lipos but dont know much about them. The price definitely looks good as does the charger. If you cant use them what would you recommend for best run time and power?

Dont forget the throttle trim knob on your radio. Try tweaking that too.

RE: 10,000wt diff oil in my crt.5.Is this ok?
Use what you got! Either 10 or 20 would work. I would run 10 for the rear and front with the 20 in the center. If you are not a competitive racer i dont think it is that critical. Especially if you are going to change it out after payday. Good Luck!

I recently put a Traxxas VXL system in my 1/10 truck. It runs good on my stick packs but i wanna go to lipos. Any advice would be appreciated. What brand?? 7.4v or 11.1v?? how many Mah?? How many C's?? Any suggestions for a charger as well??Price point is an issue as well. I dont race so i dont need to be competitive but i would like better speed and run times. Thanks.

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?
It will fit OK but the gearing will be off. you would probably not want to have huge tires on it and maybe use a smaller tooth clutchbell. Maybe 12 tooth. Have you tried Hobbypeople.net for a center diff. I just bought a 65tooth gear for mine about 2 weeks ago.

RE: XTM Truggy?
My first nitro truck was a Mammoth ST. I have been addicted ever since. My son has an X-terminator and my daughter has an electric x-cellerator. As far as I'm concerned, XTM makes a great product. Their customer support is top notch also. The XST truggy looks like it is pretty sweet and for the price, i dont think you could go wrong especially if you are just going to be bashing and club racing. Parts are easy to get if you have a Hobby People near you but if not i could see that being an issue. Someone mentioned Ebay and that is the way to go for parts no matter what kind of vehicle you have. As far as I'm concerned, go for the XST!
