RE: What size of RC planes do you like?
ORIGINAL: Microz  Hey. Just thought it would be interesting to hear what size of RC planes you guys out there like. Me personally, I like micro rc planes such as the parkzone Ultra Micros and E-flite Ultra Micro Extremes (hence my username :D). One reason is because they are so small that its easy to store and transport them. They also aren't very costly which is a big concern for me being only 15 years old. When you crash...theres a very low chance that you will break something, and when you do, a little glue and you are back up in the air! Batteries are small and cheap, no need to buy $40 batteries or batteries that look like huge bricks!!! :D There is also no need to join a club. You can fly these almost anywhere...i prefer a school field. So what size or RC planes do you like and why?
This seems odd...............

My LHS will get me anything I need. I don't pay shipping....all I pay is tax. I can look over the kit and not buy if it is damaged. This works way better for me!

RE: Horizon Hobby could not help me with Saito trouble, what do I do?
After fault finding for a month, with the engine in a test-bench, it suddenly fired up, and was the good old Saito I love so much ! I took it out of the test-bench, into the airplane ( a lot of work) and off to the field ! And it refused to start on the field. Back to original situation. Work backwards....if it runs fine on the bench but doesn't in the plane...that leads me to beleive there is a problem with things in the plane.

My second plane was a Goldberg .60 to 1.20 size Ultimate biplane. It still remains my favorite plane. Don't waste your time on a stick, you will get bored real fast. Just like a trainer.

What a bunch of crybabies.......Even at $350.00 the 71" to 73" planes are still a bargin. Compair them to the TF ARF's.

RE: OS AX 46 Nitro
CHECK THE THROTTEL BARREL SPRING. THIS CAN LOOSE IT SPRINGINESS ALLOWING THE BARREL TO MOVE IN AND OUT SLIGHTLY. tHE RETINING SCREW CAN CAUSE A LITTLE WEAR IN THE SLOT IT ENAGES IN ON THE BARREL; SUFFICIENT TO CAUSE A FLUCTUATION IN IDLE SPEED/S, STRETCH IT SLIGHTLY AND RE INSTALL. FUEL, EXCESSIVE OIL CONTENT MAY BE YOURE OTHER PROBLEM; NO MORE THAN 15 TO 18 % MAX IS NECESSARY FOR THESE ENGINES.

Jetcat P80 non SE parts needed
If you have a old P80 that has died, or failed, and you want to get rid of it, I am in need of some parts ie: can, plastic starter cone and mounting ring, and exhaust cone (inner). You can PM, email, or respone on this thread to let me know what you have, and what you are asking for them. Thanks in advance. PM: Johnny Isaiah Woods e-mail: jwoods6126@peoplepc.com Johnny

RE: Acrowat
Chris Foss kits are manufactured in the U.K. If you put the name in to Google or similar search engine it should come up withe website etc. Or, any good Model shop in U.K. like Galaxy models, Slough Models or Kings Lynn models; all of whom have their own websites, will prbably be able to provide a cheaper price. I guess the shipping cost may be rather dear; however, all the Foss range are great and of course there's some building invoved, they are not artf's. Any of the Australian Model shops able assist ?.

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.
I would go with the DLE. It will swing a larger prop than the Saito. You should be able to use a 17x6, that would be great for the Ultimate and your flying style. 2 elevator servos is the way to go. I have had an elevator servo fail in the air and still landed the plane with just one half of the elevator working. Just go with 2 wing servos. Use all 4-40 hardware and you will have a great plane. Also it is a bit more work to make the top wing a bolt on but well worth it. It makes setting the incidence on the top wing really easy.

Wow! What a blast from the past! I found a good used OS 91 four stroke to go on my Sig Sky Bolt & it's wonderful. I have taken the last 18 months off from flying RC because I have been working to finish my full size, but I have been itching to get back into RC again. Maybe next spring. Later! John

FUTABA ( ZAP WC 2 Trim range/volume ?.
Hi there fellow modellers. Could someone with experience of this Transmitter kindly explain HOW to INCREASE the amount that the elevator digital trim moves the servo ?. I can figure ouit how to adjust the the "beeps" and "speed" produced when one moves the slider switch, but not how far it can move the servo. Currently, using the full travel of the slider switch produces relatively minimal servo travel. The other trims i.e. for the rudder and throttle and aileron seem to move the relavant servos quite a lot;; but not the elevator. Weird !. I know this transmitter can do most things, If one knows how to get to the info; this one I can't figure out ; the manual isn't helpful in this respect; or I'm not looking in the right place!!. A blow by blow account of "How To" would be useful. Help appreciated. John Serjeant
