RE: having problems with MIP diff for the hpi blitz pro
I took the ball diff out of my Blitz kit and replaced it with the diff out of my e-firestorm with some fresh diff oil. Not as easy to adjust but MUCH more durable.

RE: HPI Blitz brushless upgrade ?
I have been using a Mamba Max Pro with the Traxxas Velineon 3500kv motor. Setup runs nice and cool with plenty of power and speed.

RE: Stripped RPM wheel hexes... Why?
You could try gluing the hex into the rim so it can't strip. You really need 17mm hex upgrade though.

RE: Tamiya TEU 101BK to Hitec receiver Connection
If your handy with soldering you can do what I did and remove the switch and the extra wire for power to the receiver. I opened it up and soldered the power wire leads on the board to the neg and positive wire on the 3pin signal wire to the receiver ( red circle). For the switch I jumped the connection right at the board (yellow circle). So no more switch or extra wire to run to the receiver. RE: E-Firestorm battery
The regular firestorm is SLOW stock and the Flux is most defiantly worth the extra money. Nicd batteries will really hold you back with brushless and low turn brushed. Standard Tamiya connectors tend to melt together with brushless power. I put a sidewinder 5700 in my firestorm which is what the flux comes with and on stock gearing with my 5500mah 2S pack I clocked it at 46mph with my radar gun. I will warn you though, your going to need to learn to have a light throttle finger or you will have you truck shiny side down ALOT with wheelies at almost any speed. You may also want to get an extra set of tires for the back because it won't take long for the stock ones to become bald in the center. RE: AE XP SC2000 ESC trouble?
Sounds like the motor if the esc is putting out power. How does the armature look, are the windings burnt and black?

RE: 70 mph??? is it possible
70MPH is not as easy to hit as people make it out to seem, even with the likes of a Mamba max and a VXl on 3S. Your going to be running a very low gear ratio to get going that fast and its not even practical for driving. That would be onroad only and running for a little bit at a time because that motor and esc is going to get very hot. Now when I had a Sidewinder 5700KV in my E-Firestorm running a 2S pack I had no problems flipping the truck over and doing wheelies, temps were nice and safe after a whole 5500mah pack and I clocked it at about 45mph with my radar gun. Your problem sounds like low quality batteries, what kind of batteries are you using?

RE: is the mmm or side winder water resistant
I am pretty sure Castle still coats the boards with a wax like stuff to seal all the connections, at least my Max was like that.

RE: HPI Savage Flux First Impressions (pictures)
People need to learn how to setup a truck so it doesn't constantly roll over.

RE: removing pinon gear help
First step is to take those black Allen keys that come in the box and throw them in the trash. Now go and buy your self a set of quality hex drivers, that will solve almost all of your problems.

RE: SAVAGE FLUX HP
It defiantly has a single speed transmission because it has no brakes and with the oneway bearing in the 2 speed transmission you wouldn't be able to stop or reverse. Ever tried spinning the spur gear on savage backwards? The truck doesn't move.

RE: I get to Repack my Diff!
For the Firestorm I would clean out all the differential grease and use silicone oil instead. The Firestorm has a sealed diff so you can use oil instead and get a better limited slip feel out of it. I don't remember what weight oil I used, it was either 15,000wt or 30,000wt.

If I remember right the Mamba 25 system uses motors with 2mm shafts and the Vendetta Pinions are made for a 2.3mm shaft.

RE: waterproof brushless speed control?
A boat esc won't be good in a car, If I remember right they are like plane speed controls and have no reverse or brakes. All the Castle ESCs also have coated boards and I haven't had any issues with them getting wet in snow, rain and slush.

RE: E-Firestorm Flux vs Race-Spec RC10T4 5700K
I raced my Firestorm at the club lever once this season and had no problem running with the big boys. Most of the other racers were curious on seeing how it would handle a track. It is also no big deal to tune the diff on this truck, it is sealed for a reason. It only takes a few minutes to rip the rear end of the truck apart and have the transmission open and change the silicone oil. RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
That wheelie bar works just fine. The build Quality is very nice, I could even see thread lock on the screws holding it together and the wheels didn't wobble at all. The Aluminum it is made of is a MUCH higher grade than that of what Integy uses.
