That is the number I have called several times. I leave messages, but no on ever calls me back.... Frustrating. I just figured they were out of business.

RE: Magnum Look A LIKE!!!
it flew as all others fly. It flew just like the magnum and died just like a magnum. A swift and honorable death. I got 3 flights on it and my RX battery crapped out. It went in at full speed. It his some soft ground after the rain, motor was about half an arms length in the ground. Broke one blade on the prop and didn't even put a dent in the aluminum spinner. Carb was closed on impact, no dirt in the motor. It was disassembled and rinsed in case of FOD.

RE: Ashley II Q25?
I was talking about the group buy. It looks like they have gone up 45% on their price. This is the current quote I received from the Factory.
I have received a quotation from the factory in Thailand as follows: 4 x Miss Ashley Models @ US$230 each = US$920 1 x Airfreight (TNT Couriers) to Bedford, TX @ US$530 TOTAL US$1,450 (which equates to about US$360 each)
I was quoted $1002 the last time I contacted the factory. That was about $250 per plane to the U.S. The price of shipping was $490 and now it is $500, so it is the price of the goods that went up. If any one really wants these and four of you can get the money together, it is completely doable. I cannot afford $360 for one of these at this time. that is a 44.7% increase. I guess they can afford to sell them at this price, since the global economy is thriving. The must of had to increase thier prices since that global shortage of Epoxy and glass cloth. It could of been the high paid labor over their too. Julian over and out!

RE: Lanier's Dominator
I once read that the two surfaces vs 3 had one less place for the prop vortices to get caught on and wash off. This was less drag. Sail planes also use this configuration for the same reasons that MJD stated. less joints for induced drag and tips.

RE: Magnum CG
I had my magnum set up at 140mm to start, and it ran out of elevator on landing. This made it stable in flight, but it was not fun to land. I came to the forum and found out that it needed to be further back than the recommended setting. I took a gamble and moved it back to 185mm. What a huge difference. It make the plane much easier to fly and you could literaly pull the nose to a 45 degree angle on landing. It would just float in.

RE: Rossi .53 for speed??
ORIGINAL: tIANci I got the Rossi 53 and just ran her in, got only 1/2 a gallon of Byron 5% semi synthetic (16% oil) through her. Ran it in with a 10x4 as I could not get a 9x6. After 1/2 a gallon she would peak at 19,200 RPM. Hope to finish another 1/2 gallon tomorrow morning!
What muffler are you running?

RE: Magnum R
i have had two. The first one lost the elevator pushrod at full throttle on the 3rd flight. It was a full throttle low pass over the run way. I think the west 50 stopped another 200 ft down the runway. The CG was moved back as suggested in other threads. The plane glided in very gently on the first few flight. the second one was lost on the 2nd flight. It went straight in. Landed in some soft ground though..... it was about 16 inches in the ground. It did not even break the prop or spinner??? stranger things have happened!

RE: .25FX or MVVS .21 combat?
Pe, do you have to use a different exhaust adapter for the 3241 than for the 3243? I would like to use the smaller 3241 on my .25 mvvs ACE and see if I can get some more RPM out of it.

Duane, be happy with your purchase! Did you get the motor yet? I have run one with a 7x7 zinger wood prop at 17k. This is set up in the rear exhaust configuration! I have two .25 and a .28! Why dont you just put a webra or O.S. .32 in it and go all out!!!!!

RE: Will you prefer the crock pot method or ultrasonic cleaner?
Here is the MSDS sheet for ALLOSIL the product motor boy used in the video. http://my.nilfisk-advance.com/webfiles/225.pdf From the chemical make up on the MSDS sheet, it looks like it is just a base. 9.5ph. TSP or tri sodium phosphate is probably the white magic powder stuff??? it also is a base that dissolves well in water. It can also be purchased in a high strength liquid at the local BORG. RE: The fast looking delta??
not the phenom, It was some guy who was very sure of himself, and his design. Talked about how much better the 60 degree delta is. Some one asked to borrow his molds, and he took it personally.

The fast looking delta??
I am looking for an old thread. It was of a really racy looking delta. The guy made it out of composite material. He had molds for the airframe, and he was running a .90 DF engine. It was also a very acute angled delta. I think 60 degrees. Does anyone know where I can find this? Already used the search function for a "Delta" could not find it.

RE: What engine do I need for maximum speed?
The rossi .53 is limited on power/RPM. I had one on a viper, and it would not get on the jett SS pipe. I called Dub Jett about the pipe and prop combo I was running. . I tried smaller props on the Jett SS pipe, and it would not get over 16.5k on the ground, and it would not get on the pipe in the air. The Rossi .53 does not like RPM over 16k. Ended up using the regular Jett red pipe and an 8.8x 9.25 prop to load it. It liked the load, and it would stay just under the 16k mark where it could breath.

RE: Webra .40 prop?
If that Webra is on the rookie, try a 9x6 or 9x7. Not sure if 8x7 will have enough disk area for the rookie? the rookie has a pretty draggy airframe and thick wing cord. What prop were you using on the TTpro on the rookie?

From the loooks of your picture, the low speed disk is not lined up with the mark on the crankcase. This could be your fuel issue?
