RE: Jetpower 2012
ORIGINAL: Carbon-Customs yes i looked at it alot, one of my friends wanted it, but i simply dont think its worth the price. the wings are made of wood with normal covering on it, the fuse is non sandwich, the plane is expensive. ( the price just gone up by 300€ ) it looked very well flying, and the fuelcell was very clever :)
Why thank you..Just saw the wings were balsa covered..Im sure they are fine, I was hoping it was all composite or similar..Thanks

When I see I flight like this I just think WOW, you know that person put work into this, and it looks awesome. This is what drives me in the first place to want to get better. I just wanted to get an idea on the right plane to do this with..Love the great info here..Thanks guys..[:D]

Need Some Advice From the Experts
I want to really take my skills up a notch and beyond with my jets and I have been looking into pattern flying. I fly mostly sport jets and I dont ever really push them past my limits. I get very cautious with a 7-10K sport jet, Money, time to build are mostly the factors with this. I can do basic aerobatics with them, but no where I would like to be. Im not looking to do competitons with the pattern flying, just for my self, practicing routines and so on.. I guess my question is, should I spend the $$, go out and buy a pattern plane practice with that??? Is that going to help me on the jet side?? Because that is my ultimate goal, to get better at knife edges, slow rolls, point rolls etc..Or should I just take out the foamy habu and use that?? I know practice is going to make me better, Im just looking for that vehicle to do it with..One thats not thousands of dollars..I would appreciate any advice..Thanks..

RE: Ultra flash or Bandit
Thanks guys, seems like its a " 6 in one and half dozen in the other" But the service I have been getting from Harley Condra and the service in the past from everyone at BVM seems to be the tipping point. I have never owned a CARF, and can't comment on their service, but theres nothing like needing a part, just making a call and BV ships it right out..Please feel free to post away on this thread..I think its good to have comparisons on similar planes. Helps a lot..

RE: Ultra flash or Bandit
ORIGINAL: dubd
ORIGINAL: sailing1 What are the price points all up for the Bandit less turbine of choice?
Around $6500. I've owned two Bandits (one was Doug's) and two Flashes (classic and ultra) and really liked both airframes. I echo Doug and Dave's opinions on both planes. I loved the precision of the Bandit and the ruggedness of the Flash. The Ultra Flash is almost at the same level as the Bandit in terms of precision, but can take a beating. My only knock on the Ultra Flash are the terrible color factory color schemes.
I talked with Ray Labonte this weekend. He is a CARF dealer. You can order the UF as a custom scheme like the red white and blue on the classic flash. That's a plus because I'm going to have to agree. I don't like any of the schemes on the website.

Ultra flash or Bandit
I'm thinking of my next winter project and I'm trying to decide between the two. I had my heart set on a bandit but I was just watching an ultra flash and it made me think twice. Price point being a really good factor. Don't want to start anything here but would like to hear from people on thoughts. I find this a good place to sway my decision. Would like to hear from some people that have flown both. Thanks in advance.

RE: WHY GO EDF IF YOU HAVE TURBINES?
I fly both, I currently put together an Electra 10s. my reason is Plain and simple. I like being as to take it to my local field and fly whenever I want. I will always have a turbine. I just couldn't stand only flying a handful of times. When there was an event or when work would allow me. Now I can take my Electra and fly it on a Wednesday. With very little equipment or the need for spotters etc..

RE: CARF Flash pricing
ORIGINAL: proline8000 Eric, the 2290 USD gets you the airframe only. But it is complete ready for systems to be installed. You do not have to build it like the BVM stuff.
Thanks Mike, You know me and building[:'(]
