Where to get antennas
Hi, I am wondering, where can you find 1/5 scale communication antennas? Not for a radio, but for detail. Thanks

RE: Brushed Electric Motor Break-In Guide (Not Just For Heli's)
ORIGINAL: mrasmm
ORIGINAL: Karter01 Alright thanks for the reply. Why would you go with dry break in? Isn't there more friction? Or am I getting things confused? Thanks again
Sure, no prob. A wet break in takes all of the oil out of the motor. Most people think that it's carbon dust coming off the commutator. Basically with the small motors that we are talking

RE: Brushed Electric Motor Break-In Guide (Not Just For Heli's)
ORIGINAL: mrasmm
ORIGINAL: Karter01 Sorry for bringing up an old thread. So, based on the above info, the rubbing alcohol is the best break in procedure? Or is the water? Thanks
Hey, no prob =) If it applies then it's not old to me. If you want to do a wet break in then alcohol would be a better choice than water because it evaporates more completely than water

RE: my revo jump-movie
I agree with everyone else. Why are you even in RC if your not going to do things right? If you were somebody who had no clue what you were doing and maybe got your truck with no manual or something and didn't know how to break it in, that would be a different story. But not breaking it in and then saying "who cares, my sponsor will buy me a new one" is really bad. The comments on youtube say it all. If I was your (bad) sponsor, I would laugh at you wanting a new motor. EDIT: Now you have to say you were kidding??? [:D] You had everyone going. lol
ORIGINAL: HILLFINGER
ORIGINAL: Karter01 The Revo is definitly a basher. I used to race mine and now I have a 1/8 scale buggy/truggy. There is no comparison. The Revo sucks at racing. Yea, traxxas needs to come out with a nicer radio, not improve on something else like they have been doing lately. Get Something Different! a Spektrum or JR would be nice. Losi has it, why not traxxas?
ORIGINAL: JB COMP try teflon tape on the threads of the shock, I did that when my shocks on my maxx where leaking, and they have yet to leak after that, and its been a year now.
The oil is not coming from the cap. The actual bladder is getting pushed inside the shock body, therefore letting shock oil leak out.
I have had the same problem too, but with the rear shock. You're right, it seems the bladder or something isn't staying in the right place. Can somebody help us?

RE: Maximizer Beadlocks
Well, I just ordered the normal offset wheels with some Badlands! (17mm) I was debating on the 1/2 offset, but it's easier to turn with standard offset. I don't really see the need for 1/2 offset, it being a basher (don't get me wrong, I do like the 1/2 offset). Also ordered the Tekno Conversion with the Mugen 160cc tank! [sm=biggrin.gif] WOOT!

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy
I need to buy a Rechargeable battery pack for a Jammin CRT.5. I'm looking at 2: [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_24_686/products_id/18752]Stickman 1000mah[/link] OR [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_221_224/products_id/16660]OFNA 800mah[/link] I'm using the stock radio that came with the RTR and the Stickman battery warns you about the polarity with the Futaba receivers, should I be concerned about this? Which one of these are better. If you have one that works out better, please recommend it. Thanks

Maximizer Beadlocks
I'm looking for some new wheels for my Revo. The Maximizer beadlocks caught my eye. http://www.maximizerproducts.com/maxstore/stores/1/0_offset_Black_Beadlock_System_P178C34.cfm I know people have said they are heavy, but will you REALLY notice a difference? My Revo is mostly a basher. I want a rim that is durable and easy to mount. (hate gluing) What are your guys experience with them? Also, should I get standard offset or 1/2 inch offset? Thanks
