RE: Tricks and Tips to keep your Redcats running!
This thread really should be "stickied" to the top. Good info here.

RE: Volcano EXP Pro vs. Caldera 10E
This has been very good information. Thanks for your responses. I have been wanting a 4wd 1/10th brushless vehicle with good ground clearance for general bashing/grass running. I have been trying to determine whether it is worth it in the long run to pay a ridiculous amount of money (which I don't have) for a Traxxas Stampede, or buy something I can better afford like a Volcano/Caldera 10E with the hopes that I don't end up needing to spend too much in replacing broken parts over time. I am thinking that all basher vehicles break stuff. I would have to break (and replace) a ton of parts on a Volcano or Caldera 10e to ever justify spending the crazy money it would take to outfit myself with a Stampede 4wd.....only to have it break stuff too. Waterproof electronics are nice in the Stampede, but for a $200 savings up front, I could just go around puddles. Thoughts?

Volcano EXP Pro vs. Caldera 10E
For those of you in the know. How do the Volcano EXP Pro and Caldera 10E monster trucks compare to each other? I'm looking for comparisons in terms of features, performance, reliability, parts support, upgrades, etc. I know the specs on paper, but your experience is what I'm interested to hear. Thanks.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.
New recruit here. I am now an owner of a BL Evader RTR. Should be delivered by the end of next week. Back in the early 90's I horsed around with a Losi JrT with a Rooster speed controller. Well the bug has bitten again. I spent the last week trying to convince myself to buy a Traxxas Bandit VXL. The whole 70+ mph thing had me infatuated. But I struggled with the 300+ price tag. Then, to go really fast I would have still needed a LiPO and charger. Luckily (I think), cooler heads prevailed. I lowered my price point and decided going that fast on flat pavement was not the fun I would be looking for. So I was able to get the BL Evader, a 5000mah 2S LiPO, a decent charger, and charge cable....ALL for less than the cost of the Bandit VXL RTR alone. Here's hoping I made the right choice.
