RE: New Honey Bee FP V2
Well, tried out my superblades today, Spun it up and wow, its so light and floaty, only thing im which is driving me a little batty is - out of the box they tracked perfectly but the first knock put them out by about 10 mil and i cant figgure how to get them back. with the stock blades that was easy but Superblades XP is well, less than pliable.

i foresee a down side to the Xtreme woodies, if you crash as often as i do then your going to go through them like they're going out of fashion. of course i have been known to be wrong.

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread v2.0
hey guys, am new to this thread. my bro has a evader st which im lookin after the maintenance of - that and my Revo keeps me busy [;)] came off a jump yesterday down at the track and smashed the battery pack off the back sending the engine full boar and rendering the failsafe useless. im glad i hadnt got round to replacing a bearing in the front cos it did donuts instead of dissapearing ha ha. anyhow i want to know from you gurus what i can do to prevent that in future. should i buy the stock battery box again or is there a better one.

RE: Belt CP V2 lifts off then lands at maximum throttle...
man that sounds alot like the issues i had with a brand new brushless motor for my King2 it would make sounds like an old dialup modem. and i had a 30amp tower pro esc onboard. Mike at USHobby supply replaced the motor and my problems went away. so yeah if you have the money a castle creations or hobbywing ESC is good, i have also tried out the Storm30amp ESC. (the one that comes with the Storm450 at "helipal" i think) its 3times cooler running than my tower pro and has way more features, the price is also a winner. its worth checking out.

RE: Honey Bee FP
That is a good point pete, I wll say that ive not ever been to full throttle on my v1 honeybee which by the way came with a NIMH battery, and if ive been up high in the voltage end its usually only for a moment. so as things sit now i should be ok but...... (here comes the disclaimer) Just because the crazy kiwi does it doesnt make it right, its my risk. you dont have to do it just because i do. I will say if you want to try it then its your its up to you. Still i am talking here about the esky 4in1. the esky 4in1 (my version yours might be different) for me works of a 8.4v nimh pack whick is very heavy and unwieldy. its not much of a step up to a 3cell lipo but still that initial top end voltage of 13v could do some serios harm so i make sure to do a nice easy hover for a min or 2 before getting serious. just to repeat, it worked for me but if you try it its your risk. kel

RE: Honey Bee FP
Is that the Spectrum Clone? it looks like it. the servos should be fine mate, i dont think the walkera 4in1 is smart enough to know what kind of servos are plugged in. [:D] i am running a 3cell on my v1 honeybee just fine so i dont see any problem. im pretty sure walkera has been using 3cells for a while anyhow... Pete would be able to confirm that as he has one. one thing to watch is that the ariel's on th walkera's are prone to breaking at the solder joint so make sure its good and secure. If your going to convert i would suggest the best option is a Guru-Z frame. dont get the neon version cos theres a newer one now xeon i think its called. dont get the argon as its for the King2 and check the mainshaft size before you buy http://www.ka-planes.com/guru_z kel
ORIGINAL: pgroom_68 Hey again Kel, Well done mate![:)] What flybar and paddles are you running? The lighter-weight super-skids.com paddles and super CF flybar make the lag time a bit shorter.......[:D] Peter[sm=shades_smile.gif] P.S. It takes me around 10 minutes to totally get used to flying again after a coaxial.......[;)]
I hear ya pete, Im gonna have to get more lipo's cos im finding it takes me a pack to get warmed up. The rotor head is all stock at the moment so when i get the chance ill be gettin some upgrades, but after i sppend money on my beleagerd PC, grrrrr...... I tried some nose in hovers today but i lost orentation and focus, had to duck as it flew over and hit the wall behind me. i still cant get over how much of a hammering these suckers can take. 2nd battery was better. had a close call with a tree while attempting a figgure 8 but no crashes YAY! RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
hey peeps, Seeing as how hot the Erevo looks im gonna jump in and buy one. This will be my first propper RCcar so would you recommend i get the Tiny terror or the Beast. Tower hobbies seems to have the best prices, but is there anywhere i can buy it radioless, it would justify my buying a deacent spectrum radio [;)] Cheers Kel

RE: Honey Bee FP
Well, 1/3rd throttle trim seems to be the sweet spot for the throttle trim. and now she flies!!!! im running a 1000mah 3s lipo by the way. half throttle TRIM seems to cause the tail to twitch at zero throttle stick. had to tweak the gain and proportinal but i've nearly got it nailed. its surprisingly easy to fly considering i have to tell it what to do 2seconds before i want it to do it. It sure doesnt stay in the air like a Lama4 there's considerable ammount of ground magnetism [:D] ill be interested to see how the super blades help

RE: Honey Bee FP
Oh right, i put the throttle trim to bottom because the tail rotor would start spinning at zero throttle. i might fiddle with the proportional then.
