Fornefeld, Bill Hayes and Don Brandenburg. The B Main pilots were Steve Smith, Ken Erickson and Al... second, and Bill finished third. Steve and Ken traded the lead many times in the B Main. It looked like Steve had it won, but Ken caught up on the last turn. They crossed the linw so close together that no one knew which of them was first. RE: SIG Mark II Engine ?
The LA will do fine on your Mark II. Just put an APC 11 X 4 prop on it. On grass, it helps if the plane is a tail dragger. Still, I have larger and heavier trainers with trike gear that get off our longer grass just fine with a LA .40. Ken Erickson
