RE: A&M question
Thanks Bill . Hope you are enjoying retirment. It does look just like the 2.4 but smaller bore. A guy brought it by and I didn't know what size they made before the 2.4.

I Make a manifold for the 46 that is a press fit with JB and have never had one come lose or leak, it solves the major work on that conversion.

RE: glow to gas conversion adviceST3000
ORIGINAL: dirtybird There are some interesting false statements in this thread. There are several reasons that theoretically you will get more power from alcohol than you will from gasoline. This is at the expense of higher fuel consumption. You simply can pack more alcohol in a cylinder than you can gasoline. In difference to Mr Lambert it must be done right. Another interesting fact for the green people is it takes more petroleum based fertilizer to grow the corn that is required to make the alcohol than you save. You might as well just use gas and forget it.
Don't know what the indifference is but I wasn't talking alcohol . I was talking about gas conversion performanc,I think there is 2 discusions going on?

Steve the larger ones do just as good Av8t the 11 works fine , my meaning was the smaller works good also but are easier to tune and do produce a better throttle response, that has been my experiance

RE: EME engine Bulletin
I bought one of the DM engines from HK and it was used has 2 cylinder bolts sreipped a gas in the cylinder and you can see where they ground the DLE off and ingraved the DM and ground on the piston and rod to remove the markings. I am still fighting with MC and they reversed charges and changed there mind and re charged me and them refunded and now have changed there minds again, seems MC is afraid to stand up againts the chinese.

RE: glow to gas conversion adviceST3000
I have found that a larger bore carb doesn't run as well as the smallest bore walbro does. The larger wants to run rich all the time and you are restricted by the size of the intack barrel. It is mainly the ignition ,timing, and a little tweak I give them ( top secret) I should be out in the shop boxing up engines to ship out in the morning but I thought I would look around and maybe answer some questions if I know the answer or think I know!

are you sure it isn't running backwards? Just a thought, they will run in reverse and blow out the carb and not have power.

RE: G90 TO GAS - HIW TI FIT THE CARB?
Just finished up 3- 3000's tonight so I have some .90's and 2300's to do so maybe parts of those will work for some info, although it is different process for the different engines and they all have seperate jigs and different pin and bearings. I had a book with all the different engines and the bearings and such for each but I haven't been able to find it for a long time , I may have to start over on that

RE: G90 TO GAS - HIW TI FIT THE CARB?
ok i am making a video on how i really do it, but it is going to be a very long one , may have to do a section at a time i don't know much about video making. the process is also very long so it will take a long time to do the whole conversion on film but i will try. there is a lot of setups required that takes time and a lot of jigs that have to be made.
