RE: will a fuslage fit
a .30 size fuse should work. you can use a .50 size fuse if you like by changing the tail boomand belt to a cal5 boom and belt. the problem with the cal30 is the large servo tray up front that intefers with the top of some fuses. for the century fuses (very nice set of prepainted fuses) the cal30 wont fit the bell222 or airwolf. not sure about the agusta 109a but i should fit into the highes 500 fuse. hopefully this helps

RE: Agusta 109A MKII 50 Retracts
Hi There, I have done the same fuse (yellow version) with same retracts! Didn't think anyone else had gotten those lhc retracts at all... I have kyosho caliber 3 mechs in it though. Looks awesome I should get some flying video of mine and I think I'll get that turnigy servo reg too, was looking for something like that! Cheers

Wow I wouldn't have used the pliers on the shaft eh, don't know why kyosho reccommend that... I have always used the hex bit in the fan with an allen key to get the clutch on and off but each to their own. Sounds like it is going well! Hope you can get back to enjoying your heli once again.

Best to make sure all those fins are still good, they provide cooling to the engine and clutch but if it still works well it should be alright. Remember to check the automotive shops, they usually have it ;) No problem, it's good to keep everyone in the air!

RE: Need help with Caliber 30 clutch problem.
Any good hobby shop should have it, even hardware/automotive stores should... It's technically called threadlock (loctite is a brand name like cellotape).

RE: Need help with Caliber 30 clutch problem.
Wow thats jammed up pretty hard! The crankshaft sure is threaded. there is a piece which threads into the clutch and that same piece threads onto the crankshaft. One of the threads is reversed, the one that holds onto the clutch but that part looks as if its ok... Looks like the blue thread lock has given up the go. I personally use red loctite on the clutch because I have had the same problem. Although don't use to much red loctite otherwise you'll never get the clutch off if it breaks (also from personal experience :P) You'll need to drop out the whole engine and clutch assembly. Unscrew the three screws on each side of the heli screwing into the engine mount. Unscrew the two screws holding the fan and starter coupling on the shaft and the whole engine/clutch should slide out the bottom... Pop off the clutch bell and bearings and screw the fan back on the shaft. This is so you can unscrew the clutch shaft from the crankshaft. Once you have the clutch shaft off of the crankshaft you need to clean the threads and put some new loctite on (go with the red stuff but go easy with it). Put it all back together and with a new fan you should be away! (You'll need to loctite the screws that go into the fan too, again I use red here because I've had them pop out in flight when I used blue but you can get away with blue.) Also remember to loctite any other screw that screws into metal with blue loctite (don't use the red for anything else, it is very strong). Exploded view number 3 you can see the different shafts etc. http://www.kyosho.com/jpn/support/instructionmanual/caliber/pdf/21135_caliber30_t.pdf Hope this helps, if you need any more help don't be afraid to ask!

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '
Hey guys, the car went out of range again at about 30-40 metres. I'm thinking the reciever batteries die pretty quick and thats the problem? Anyway the car went full throttle into a tree, goodbye front shaft and chassis! I replaced the front shaft and have managed to bend the chassis straight again. I must say, that spring that comes preloaded on the car doesn't do much, it definately wont reuturn the throtle to idle so I went for a fail safe for about 10-15USD. Hopefully everything is ok now...

RE: Kyosho 1/10 4WD Truggy ' DST '
Hi All, I was wondering about a radio problem with my dst reflex system. The batteries seem to run out very VERY quick. I use AA Enegizer Max for both tx and rx and after 4 tanks the batteries were dead. Figured out the batteries were dead the hard way, the range was fine at the start, could go from one side of the bmx track we were at to the other. Then near the end of the 4th tank, the range copped out at about 25m (which at the point I had it on half throttle turning a corner and the thing lost connection and zoomed off into the next horse paddock and down a very steep gully and got stuck in 1.5m tall grass revving away (which I suppose is better than hitting a tree or going into the water). Is this just how much power the thing takes (I am slowly swapping over to rechargeable 2700mAh batteries) or is it something else? Thanks

Honeybee FP Receiver/4-in-1/3-in-1 Compatibility
Hi all I was wondering about the 4-in-1 that comes with the honeybee fp. does it come with the 4-in-1 or the 3-in-1 plus receiver? Also are the 4-in-1 or 3-in-1 tail motor plugs able to plug into a servo? (i.e. so I can use all the original hbfp electronics with a belt tail upgrade by just swapping out the tail motor for a servo) Hoping to do it this way and slowly upgrade part by part because I will never be able to afford everything upgraded in one load. Hoping to buy the hbfp, put it in a guru-z 300 class conversion kit or buy a compy 300 fp bd kit and slwoly get brushless motor, digital servo's, futaba receiver and gyro... Thanks

RE: concept 30 eliectrical problem
could be something simple like radio inferferance, or flat batteries or something a bit more sinister like a bad radio or reciever or wiring but if it's not the interferance or batteries it might be a bit out of my league.

RE: Caliber 3 Scale
Caliber 30's do fit in scale fuse's. A guy down in Wellington put one in an Agusta 109A and onlty needed a Caliber 5 boom and belt. Or you could try to put a Caliber 30 in to a .30 size fuse... This seems to be the cheapest way to get into scale's. Still nothing in heli's is ever cheap [;)]
