RE: NEW KM BAJA T1000-
@ Sparky, you are right i didn't post the pictures, and thats my mistake. But my 2 Rovan KITT cars we're terrible as statet before. I had to do alot of adjustments.. enough said about that because its was in the beginning of the whole Rovan release, so they can deliver better quality on this moment. Perhaps the even have a quality control now. I've seen the KM Buggy's and that quality is much better allready and close to the original company. [8D]

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
thx m8, I took a gamble on getting me some Rovan Clones in a KiT version and see what they really made of. I can say its not worth all the troubles you get in when these Rovan cars arrive. These are bad products and when you want to buy a 5T just save some more money and buy the original because the plastics are terrible, aluminium is very poor cake material, body just cracks after one roll, missing parts, no holes in parts so you have to adjust some more, engine is terrible etc.. So don't buy these Rovan T clones because its terrible non quality break a leg product. When you don't have enough money, be patient till you have some more so you can buy the original.

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
At last a report of the rovan 5T building.. Broken diff case and both front suspensions are broken. We had to drill holes in the chassis otherwise the bolts break while driving over hard surface. The chassis allready has a crack and we didn't drive one inch. You may know that we don't like this Rovan Baja Terminator brand anymore.. Will this 5T ever drive? well we do our best this week..

RE: KM 5B Vs Rovan 5B
Guys, Shenqi is de worst of all clones but some people are very lucky and happy with it. Rovan is a little better but the KM gets all the credits most of the time in durability and good plastics. But overal i think that the clones are too high priced compared to the Real HPI's. Last but not least....word spreads that all 5B and 5T clones are coming out of the same factory. It would be no suprise since i've been in HK several times and saw the same thing with all those trading company's around. So if you deside on taking a clone...give them a big price kick under their bottoms. [:)]

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
If they don't use a higher degree of plastic's for the parts and body just forget this 5T model from Rovan. Another point is the quality control because lots of points we had to drill new holes in chassis parts to fit the bolts. Roundup.. Negative points; High Price for a Clone Bad quality plastic parts Bad quality plastic body Missing holes for bolts in several parts of the chassis Transmitter is very poor quality Positive points; Body comes in nice colors with funny design Shipping box looks just like the original 29cc Engine RTR or KITT version possible possible to buy Without Transmitter and Engine possible to buy Good fast reply's on msn Good information with parts list

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
Lets stay on topic gents.. [;)] The one thing i can tell you about this Baja Terminator is the low quality plastics. Also the body is terrible and easy to break when you don't use ductape or special kit to support the body. The price is too high for the product you get.

Hi Guys, The first Rovan T isn't ready yet because of the missing bolts and screws and lack off time to finish it. Second one is almost finished and then one short test run and up for sale.

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
The rovan terminator has a own brand engine. I'm thinking of taking the KM1000 but its released in September i think.. I heard the KM engines are improved and i read alot about the better plastics of KM. Perhaps i'll try the type 2 of the KM Buggy if the price is ok.

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
I agree with some points that are said offcourse and as you see in my signature i own two original HPI Baja's. I was suprised to see such alot of parts that are missing from these Rovan 5T's in the KiTT version's. When i contacted the company they give me no excuse but told me not to worry because missing parts are taking care of and send to me. I have got the first missing parts but not all parts so i have to contact them again. I've been reading alot about the quality of KM and since Mr.Wei Fan didn't have the 5T ready i went to Rovan. As for the copying and stealing i agree the had to change some parts so its not a complete clone. Futhermore i think its better to have more company's that sell a simular product for a varity of prices and quality difference. The choice is yours and i don't like a monopoly position in a market. People that can't affort HPI and really want such a car are very happy with these cars. But i agree the quality must be good.

I don't fully agree because this was not a RTR version, and mistakes are easy to make. Furthermore i can't say anything about the quality since we didn't drive with the cars yet. Time will tell

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
Well Guys a kitt is not always a good sollution.. The delivered 2.4ghz looked like it has nog electronics, sad thing is the engine cap on the side where they stop button is...there's a 3cm wide crack. But all is going to be replaced by Rovan. And just for those who think KM does have a 5T ready..... Mr.Wei Fan himself told me he should have the 5T ready last may. Then hey told me on the 10th of june, now he doesn't respond on msn...so i don't trust him anymore peeps.

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
Rovan is taking care of all missing parts and everything is settled in a good way. So its better to get a RTR version so these issues can't come up anymore. Mistakes happen and as long as the company solves it...no problem. Transmitter and reciever are working...now we need a manual. [:D]

The body is twice as thick as the orgininal body and if its bashable? i don't know...it looks pretty strong Km only has the conversion kitt and not complete car... Keith...so far KM hasn't got a 5T truck! Only Rovan has a 5T truck...and quality so far is....terrible

Well my friends bought a Rovan 5T kitt version and in my opinion its worth 450usd maxx The 5B to 5T Conversion Kitt from Rovan is ok because the body is exactly the same as the original and twice as thick.

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
Hi guys, Wel it looks like the quality of the Rovan Terminator Kitt so far is terrible. Sometimes no holes in the parts where its suposed to be. Very simple manual but you can download the real version for the exact way to build it. I saw a few double parts and some parts are missing...[:'(] Thats the update so far guys...if you ask me its not worth a 600us but more like 400us...and i have my thoughts on the KM1000 when it ever comes out on the market.

Keith, KM said that they would have their KM1000 ready on the 10th of June. Now there's no date told by KM.....so now the only company thas has a 5T is Rovan As you probable know my friends have 2 of these Baja Terminators and reviews will come very soon..

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
@ Hndaman1, your pictures are 100% correct These cars are not delivered with a CY engine and i haven't seen any clone with a CY engine so far. So if you are going to buy one its probable possible to take it without a engine and 2,4ghz transmitter.

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
I think Dale has a point indead...because when i check the quality between a Rovan and a original product...you see little differences...when you take away these differences...you can't notice it anymore. But i also think that the European market is paying the highest price for these products. A Baja 5B for 925euro and a Baja 5T for 1150euro, when you are lucky..because most of the time the prices are higher. And in China its not possible to sell for these prices. So when you pay 400usd for a Baja 5B in China as a consumer its a nice price.

RE: Rovan Baja Terminator
Well there's also a difference between clones and clones...for instance Baja clones from Shenqui, Kingmotor and Rovan. The quality between these 3 is stunning also. I think its a compliment to the original product that they make these clones, but it would be better that the designed their own shell and a slightly other chassis. Then i think its a good thing for alot of people who can't affort the original product and can buy a other nice product for less money. So for the market its better that there some other factory's otherwise the domination of the original factory becomes to big and they can do anything in this market..high prices and arrogance.. For example...$ony with the ps3 console and laser defects....people get charged high prices for repair...but there are a few company's that sell the lasers cheap so customers save alot of money. Anyway lets stay on topic.. If the quality of the product is right, the price is right, we all accept clones from several products.
