EAGLE I'm sure you and IFLYBVM2 are well aware of the saying, "If it isn't broke, it don't need fixing." I still have most of my 72MHz stuff. Maybe I'll go back for a while.

RE: Dx8 still has problems
Amazing reading. Like I said in another post. I'm done with Spektrum & JR. As for Futaba, what I hear of their attitude, no thanks. It looks like it'll have to be something else.

RE: spektrum vs JR
EAGLEPILOT - you're not alone or in a bad place. I know a couple guys who did not rush to jump as well. A lot of info in this thread makes sense. Between JR & Spektrum I feel like I've been had. Lost a great flying Venus II (total) and by the grace of God, only just managed to save an irreplaceable Prophecy; & a Sukhoi (literally caught by high grass) after Tx/Rx unbind. Different radios/receivers in each case. Having over 20 airplanes, four helis and five JR radios in seven years. Just seems a waste, I'm done with them. Not keen on Futaba either. My own observations and after talking to a few of their customers, the general feeling, too snooty, service just not customer friendly. Going to have a hard look first before I make the change.

RE: Pattern Planes in Mothballs
Kevin you have me cracking up picturing a grown man crying over a lost RC airplane... and I know exactly how that feels. LOL I don't know who has the mould but I hope they read here. Maybe Geoff might want to do a SL-1ac? Yes? Does anyone else have pics? Let's get them out of the mothballs. Crankpin - love the pool pics, they're outstanding!

OK It's settled. Heard from Geoff Combs himself. It's an SL-1. Ed your pic is inspiring, I will build it. Geoff is checking for the paperwork. Thanks very much to all who helped here.

RE: Pattern Planes in Mothballs
There's one batch of pics for the Omen here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6779717/anchors_6781336/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#6781336 I should have some more pics of the fuse to put up tomorrow and we will see if we can agree on what it is. There seems to be a number of variations to whatever it is and they have very similar features hence the difficulty. Here is one of the pics from that thread.

RE: Pattern Planes in Mothballs
Patternflyer76 - I agree, it does look like it. The nose a bit difficult to be 100% certain but so far this is the best bet. I did some digging and found a thread on it with a beautiful pic. I also PMed Edwarda10pilot to look in here and give us a word on it. Here's a pic from the page. This is the page http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6941737/mpage_4/key_/tm.htm

Crank, I have the wings (need to be sheeted), some wood that came with it but no paperwork. Will need to make a rudder and figure out the rest unless I can find something.

RE: HK 500 CMT Build Thread - Beginner to Heli's
Hi all. Just building my 500CMT. Anyone else missing the horizontal stab spacer? I got two and both kits are minus this part (H50088) seen here: http://www.rc-fever.com/500-stabilizer-mount-h50088-p-2152.html?cPath=340_41_166 The hor-fin cannot be tightened without a spacer here. I'll probably just make something.

RE: Kadet Senior Engine
Hey Jeffie, long time buddy. I used a Thunderbolt 4C long plug on my .53 It seems to love that. I also put in a Perry 4400 carb, made all the difference. Runs like a top once you tune the Perry right. Perry idle adjusters are very sensitive and adjustments should be minute. As mine broke in I leaned it off very gradually and now its absolute fun on a Modeltech Profile Sukhoi.

RE: Wanted :TopFlite RC Nobler
Geeze this thread makes me feel good.. sorry guys. I found a half built one about four years ago laying around in a hobby shop in Orlando. Everything seems straight enough. Seems somebody go tired of the build and just abandoned it. I decided to take a chance and grab it. It's almost done and I have a unique color scheme for it. Gonna call her "Miss Orlando.".. go figure. Just so very busy these days with work, but I've been plugging at it intermittently, laid aside a Saito .56 for it. It is truly a classic model isn't it..!!

RE: YT KMP Hawker Typhoon
The KMP Bronco is designed to have the wing ends held to the center section by large rubber bands. It would be practical to do the same for this wing making it easier to transport. Thoughts anyone? (Yeah still building mine).
