RE: A more serious Rossi ??
I looked all through the novarossi site, didn't see this one. Is this in production or is it 'unobtainium'? It would be great to find out more about it. Thank you for the photo. Lane

RE: Fastest motor for 1/2 A pylon racer
IF and you should check but IF you can run an .061 (1 cc) motor you can read what the state of the art is in 1 cc motors on this web page http://www.gregorie.demon.co.uk/freeflight/f1j/ DISCLAIMER not responsible for keyboard damage due to drooling bib recommended In reality there probably isn't an appreciable advantage in chasing these setups. Take all the advice previously given .... but man are these nice motors. OoooooPpppppppSsssss I just read the rules and the limit is .051 Oh well enjoy the web page anyway.

RE: RPM of Pee Wee .020
check out Martin Hepperle's site and look at the performance tab http://www.mh-aerotools.de/airfoils/cox_frameset.htm If you only want the Pee Wee .020 then you should check out the documents tab and pull the engine report for that one. Martin has a very interesting and informational site. Lane

RE: Painting Thread
I have been following other painting projects and threads. I found the following two to be very interesting. My focus is control line and the stunt guys really have it down pat. Here is using urethanes http://www.aeromaniacs.com/Urethane.htm Since I was interested in using the automotive two parts finishes (Dupont Chromabase and Chromaclear) because they will mix a custom color from a chip for me locally at the automotive paint shop, I found an additional article by Doug Moon very interesting. Unfortunately when I went looking for the link it appears to be gone. Anyone interested in a copy of it email me, lkp1@yahoo.com I have an email into Doug now to get his permission to forward the copy I have. If you want to see a picture of one he did in Dupont paint look at the second plane in red and blue on his web page, I’m about 90% sure it was the one he talks about finishing in his article http://www.angelfire.com/ab2/dougmoon/ This dupont stuff isn't cheap though. My custom color was in an orange and ran $80 for a quart. This article is using the Dupont paint also http://astro.umsystem.edu/andy/rc/p47/mar02/ If you REALLY want to go over the top and time or money isn’t a big issue here is a set of tapes and steps http://freespace.virgin.net/j.hatch/windy1.htm

Kadetito MAN issue help
I noticed in the current newstand issue of Model Airplane News that they have the plans for the 1/2A Kadetito (sp?). Does anyone know which issue of MAN they had the full article? I have just about all the back issues and don’t know where to start looking. Also anyone have an opinion as to how well it would fly as a trainer? Thanks, Lane Lkp1@yahoo.com
