RE: A new car, little by little
Yep, this is very actual for using in that car when the time comes for it :) But maybe to be modified a bit. Where did you dig up this thread from by the way? I thought i was the only one keeping it in mind[:D]

RE: Ford Escort MK2 1/5
I have a grinder setup similar to what DVP uses lying around in my workshop, and a weedwhacker-engine that i am planning to use. A really asthmatic engine that i am going to try to tune maybe, hehe! It is barely used, maybe just for an hour.

RE: Kyosho DRX Lancia Stratos
I am not sure, it sounds maybe a bit weak for the car. As you might have seen the setup in my car is from 1/8 scale, and that is what almost everybody is using. In [link=http://www.infernosonly.com/Convert_your_Kyosho_DRX_Rally_car_to_a_Brushless_s/988.htm]this[/link] link i see a 5700 motor is listed, so i guess that is from 1/10-scale and will work fine. But LiPo is something i will recommend to get the right punch out of your setup. Make a little thread about your car so we can see some pics of it, it is not everyday we see Stratos around :)

RE: Kyosho DRX Lancia Stratos
Got some new tires for it (the Fiesta, Pro Line Road Rage) which i intended to use with the yellow rims on the Stratos. They wouldn't fit on those rims, but they fit well on the rims made for the DRX just for your info. So there i was without any rims to put them on, i wanted to try the HPI 100868-rims and they fit very well! They build 2 mm more outward to the wheel arc than the stock ones, so they fill the arches very nicely. The diameter of the wheels are a bit smaller than on the stock ones, but they don't look too lumpy as i think the stock one does.

RE: Ford Escort MK2 1/5
Finally got to paint it, looks a little rough here and there where the masking tape was (got some leaks), but i guess i will sort it out. Going to make some window "seals" with some black tape around the windows to make it look less "sterile" than it does at the moment. I have also started mounting the rear bumper as you can see.

RE: RACO SIDEWINDER BUILD
The thing with photobucket is that if you move the pics internally on Photobucket (to another folder) they will "loose" their URL as linked to here. Too bad. What you can do is to go to PB and try to search for the pics there.
ORIGINAL: nitroexpress Rough trim with Lexan cutter and finish with Dremel. <img alt='''' src=''http://www.toolup.com/images/Product/medium/Dremel-407.jpg'' />
Just what i was about to recommend here, but i use a drum sander with about 50 mm in diameter as i am afraid of those smaller Dremel drum sanders can dig too deep in the body and make the wheel arches kind of bumpy. Oh, and very nice Beemer, jbond! You can't go wrong with one colour ;)

RE: Ford Escort MK2 1/5
I got it from Spitfire on the RC-tech forum, he has a thread there about them. Yes, them, he also make a very nice Opel Kadett GT/E-body. I too had an Escort mk2 for about 3 or 4 years ago :)

Why not? If you size it up a bit and make it a bit beefier i think this would work. But i like your ideas with the mock up you have done :)

RE: TL-01 Help/Suggestions
I came to think of saddle pack here, what about chopping off the "bridge" that surrounds the battery and make some custom mounts on each side? Like a plate bolted to the chassi to place them on?

RE: TL-01 Help/Suggestions
Not easy to tell with the LiPo-pack, but i know you need a stick pack for this car. So the thing you need to do is to look for a stick pack, and take it from there. You can use the same receiver, just hook up the new esc with it and floor it :)

RE: Ford Escort MK2 1/5
Thanks dudes! Today i finished masking the body, and also on the outside as it don't have a protection film. I covered it in a big, black plastic from some wrapping i found at work[:D] Oh, and i have painted the grille, i did this even if i am going to make one realistic looking that i am going to make on my computer and print out. When i still owned my Escort mk2 1/1 i took a picture of the grille as shown on the 1/10-car in the picture in the first post. Going to use the same sticker as this one, just need a bit of resizing[:)]

RE: rc bloodhound ssc jet build
Brakes can still be mounted on the backside of the bearing holders as i can see, but then making it less aerodynamic. Just thinking out loud here :)
