RE: Boomerang XL ?
Mine is 06, 2 carbon spars, one larger dia, one smaller dia, both go thru the booms and into the wings with 2 alloy pins on each wing section, threaded in, locked in the main section by 2 grub screws in each wing section. The only thing i changed was the retract mounts, fitted Sandors trailing leg spring air package with new ply mounts supplied. 6 years still going strong. maybe they have changed the construction from the early kits. photos show "a" spar coming out of the right wing, then catastrophic break up. (did it only have 1 spar with anti rotation pins?) Grant NZ

RE: Reaction 54 Jet Kit
hi Bruce, the retracts and struts are Pro-link from Intairco, extended well wheel out 15mm, made a new retract base from aircraft 5 ply, pics on posts #2976 #2983 #2985 #2988. simple mods, fitted the 3/4 triangle as per your plans. will add more pics to this post. Jet- Tronics valves run the retracts and brakes. Elevator to be fitted. decals to be stuck on, work in progress. Jet Cat will power it. JR 11x TX with a 12RX. Hitec servos as per build manual. afterburner fitted. Fitting the turbine will be final challenge. cheers Grant

RE: Reaction 54 Jet Kit
Bob, looking forward to getting it finished, staying pretty well with the standard build, just adding your duct detail. pretty well finished the Fuselage, trial fitted the servos, retract lines, air-tronic valves, they are holding air pressure over night, need to tidy a bit on the retracts and sheet the top of the wing. fix ducts on, more sanding, just takes time eh. john, that pic was taken before i had finished the mounts, all ply is aircraft grade 5 ply, base has the retract set in, with 2 more layers to fasten the retract to. hopefully this should be enough. Grant

RE: Reaction 54 Jet Kit
hi all, wings are joined, going for a trail fit to fuselage to day.everything has lined up well so far, nicely cut kit. have ordered a Jet Cat 100 RX to power it, simplified wiring harness and the specs show a kilo lighter than some of the other Cat Turbines being installed, should make it interesting. supply is about 6 weeks away, that should give me time to glass it and fit Bobparks2 duct design. RE: Reaction 54 Jet Kit
hi there, had a kit sent to NZ a couple of weeks ago and its under way. mate has Anthony s from Christchurch, flew it our Anzac meet, good fun jet, so now there will be 2 wood kit R 54s down under. will have Intairco retracts, kevlar tank glassed and painted, going use some of mods made on this forum, mainly the duct set up by Bobparks2. had to alter the retract mounts, fairly simple mod. changed the nose mount, had trim 10mm from the nose leg. will join the wing together tomorrow. RE: Looking for KJ66 Build details/thread ?
Thanks booker-RCU i think the problem is solved. Also, if you want to get KJ66 plans, just buy Kurt Schreckling's latest book on model turbines - the entire KJ66 plans identical to the one's from Artes Jets is printed in the book. I have the original Plans dossier from Artes, and I have the book. They are identical... https://shop.traplet.com/product.aspx?c=182

RE: Fly-models formost 150?
Hi all, Have close look at the pictures, post 19, 1st pic, wooden thing at rear fuselage, that is what it is designed for, add Turbine, 50ozs fuel, ECU battery, receiver battery, c/g problem with heavy Turbine well back, wing spars seem small for size and all up weight, not really designed for Jet Turbine imo. Cheap isn't allways best!!! They aren't competion for the Boomerang Family. Grant. NZ
