RE: Washer fluid and latex paint question!!? Help!!
ORIGINAL: Ham639 I don't ever use the floetrol. Tried it, couldn't tell a difference. I do use ''Fresh'' Blue windshield wiper solvent. I have had great success with Latex paints. The secret is to be patient and every color will mix and spray a little different. Also always spray with ''Flat'' paints. Coverage is much better and always clear coat. Latest paint job below:
Now that's a good latex paint jog and advice, however distilled water also works fine, just takes longer to dry. Laytex staines like crazy so always clear coat with fuel proof clear. You don't need 2 or 3 coats for a good job, with a little testing most of you can spray it with a cheep HVLP gun (laytex that is), remember it's heavy, so don't go nuts with it.

A four blade prop build may deserve a thread of it's own, say like in Giant Warbird or Scale..., ) it's worth a look. Sorry my reference ain't working. Leroy

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)
ORIGINAL: Valve floater Hi. I just picked up a used Mustang TF with a DLE-55. Big Doll. It has Robart air retracts. The tail wheel also. The tank is empty so both mains are out. But why is the tail wheel not out in the landing position when there is no air in the system? Will i have to land if i run out of air on the rudder? Also, i have two 22-8 WW11 props from VV. Can i fly it using this prop. Will it not fly with it or do i have to have the 22-10? Thanks
A22-8 or 22-10 and a 23-8 will work great on that engine the 22-8 is very popular. Good RPM range is 6500 to 8500, engine is rated to 9500 but for engine life don't run it up there. That is a good engine, it's whats in mine. What happens when 3000 posts are reached, you get shut down and then what ?.

Right around the end of the month, May, I will start a thread called An Awsum Finish in Fuel Warbirds at RCG, it will be about painting and finishing my plane. I may try to do the same thing on RCU, but if there are problems like so many have and I have had I will scrap it. Lerpy
