RE: Water based paint
I'm sure an oil based clear will come up fine but it will yellow over time. Using a two pack or water based clear with the required flattening agent is the best I've found. Remember your jet can sit in the sun for days at an event and will deteriorate over time. Because of this I use the two pack clear. Bullet proof. Kind Regards Levi

RE: Fly Eagle Vs Jet legend Vs Skymaster vs Fei Bao
ORIGINAL: topgun24 Fly Eagle???? Really??? Are we voting for the best????
Im with you big fella. Ive been trying hard to not get involved but fly eagle? Skymaster hands down for scale detail, landing gear, durability and stock pipes that dont cave in. Just look at there 1/6 F16. So many people with 300+ flights.

RE: P200SX Intermittent Flame Outs
Yeah Bart the last run was the flame out mate. Thats good that its not starving for fuel so i can rule out the install. Seems electrical. Sparksey was there and tested the data plug and it seemed fine. Maybe the board. I hope i sort it out too. Fat Russian gliders are not fun.

RE: P200SX Intermittent Flame Outs
Thanks a lot for the replies lads. All valid points and worth trying. Dave my install is very tight and the main solenoid is close to the turbine so heat soak may be an issue during the flight. I will try a few things and report back here. Thanks again. Cheers Levi
ORIGINAL: dubd
ORIGINAL: Levi Wags
ORIGINAL: dubd Levi, this is a old thread. I was interested in the F-15 a couple of years ago, but lost interest because both manufacturers were having problems with their planes. BTW - I responded to your PM about the MIG-29 pipe, but I got a message saying you can not accept PMs. If I were to get a F-15, I would use a P-200SX. [/quote

RE: FEJ 1/7 F-15 vs FB 1/7 F-15
Hey Dantley Why go a twin if you dont have too. More weight, drama ect. My single P200 powered Mig sounds louder and more realistic than my mates twin P160 powered Su27. Levi

RE: Fly Eagle 1/6 scale F-16 Build Thread
ORIGINAL: Vincent Mr. skydive, I read your post on rc groups and i see you getting ''bored'' even with the turbine part of the hobby. I fly only scale jets and quite frankly am not interested at all in foamies, prop planes or even the most expensive sport jets. I have not owned a prop plane since 1983, it has been jets only since then. I like being on the ''edge'' with a scale jet and like fenderbean said, i would rather watch a nice scale flyby any day over some crazy sport flying. The hobby is a passion for me since i was 10yrs old and i dont see it slowing down any time soon. I am one of those ''50ish'' guys you are referring to in your rc groups post. I believe you are in this hobby to ''prove'' something or someone how good you are or can be. I have seen your ''type'' come and go in this hobby and if i was a betting man i would say you will be gone from the hobby in the near future, turbins or not. Most of us on this forun wake up thinking about our jets and go to sleep at nite thinking about which jet we would like to build and fly next. I dont see that in your personality so i believe you are '' looking for love in all the wrong places'' just my 2cents... btw, where is ''non USA?? Vin...
Good call Vin
ORIGINAL: dubd Do you know the capacity of the other tanks? Perhaps Levi has advice on getting the small tank to fit.
Hey Dantley. I just kept sliding the front tank forward until the turbine would fit. There should still be plenty of room for the front gear to retract. I'll take some photos tomorrow and post them.
