RE: Google OS
I'll stick with my PC with my firewall. I don't want my personal business being spread around the web. I did the dumb terminal thing at work doing development on Unix systems for several years. I could protect my files from being snooped but anyone who has administrative privileges can get into those file any time they want. NO THANKS.

Sam's cola is made by RC. That is what I drink most of the time. My preference is Coke. I never like Pepsi.

RE: HELP,ANYBODY KNOW HOW I DO THIS???
Foxy answered the question in this post. The problem is with one of the servers. It will have to be rebooted by an administrator. When you have problems of this nature, you should address the problem in the "Forums questions or problems" forum. This will get the attention of the administrators quicker than posting about the problem in several different threads. The average member has no idea what causes problems within the forums.
ORIGINAL: Foxy It happens occasionally. I'm sure I've told you before, just delete them, resave the post, then edit the post again and reattach them. It usually works. Let me know if you continue to have problems, and I'll let the management know which image server needs a kick. :)
RE: Johnnie Casburn MFG
Johnny Casburn manufactured kits in Fort Worth. He started with U Control models in the ‘40s, but will be remembered most for his excellent Lucky Fly RC kits. Google "Johnny Casburn Mfg" and a lot of information comes up.

RE: Most meaningfull lyrics
Keith Urban, Making Memories Of Us Lyrics I'm gonna be here for you baby And I'll be a man of my word Speak the language in a voice that you have never heard I wanna sleep with you forever And I wanna die in your arms In a cabin by a meadow where the wild beasts warm And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll earn your trust making memories of us I wanna honor your Mother And I wanna learn from your Pa I wanna steal your attention like a bad outlaw And I wanna stand out in a crowd for you A man among men I wanna make your world better than it's ever been We'll follow the rainbow Wherever the four winds blow And there'll be a new day Comin' your way I'm gonna be here for you from now on This you know some how You've been stretched to the limits but it's alright now And I'm gonna make you this promise If there's life after this I'm gonna be there to meet you with a warm, wet kiss Yes I am And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll earn your trust makin' memories of us Ohhh And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll win your trust makin memories of us

RE: Anyone have the build article for Pinto?
I will have to find the plans and see if I can find a place to print them. I moved to a small town a couple of years ago and I am not aware of any services here that can print large drawings. Maybe I can get some printed the next time I go to one of the larger towns around here.

RE: How do you get bold type in a new thread title?
You can't place bold text in the subject line. Bold only appears to members when the thread has not been read since the last visit. After being read, the bold will revert to normal.

RE: 1 SIM Card with 2 Phones??
I am on T-Mobile. My daughter bought me a Nokia pre-pay phone recently. I put the SIM card from my Motorola in the Nokia and had to wait a few minutes for it to update. When it was done, it worked normally. I didn't like the Nokia phone so I switched back to the Motorola just by moving the SIM card. Had no problems at all.

RE: Can't find employment, Ideas for self employment ?
There is one business that I have been considering based on a request by a friend. He said that he would pay extra for computer repair if the technician would show him how to correct the problems. There is only one local computer shop and they can charge whatever they want and don't have to tell the customers what they did to make the repair. My friend paid almost $100 to rebuild the operating system. He said he would have gladly paid twice that much to learn to do it himself. I do a lot of computer repairs for friends but have never charged for anything other than parts I had to buy. I don't charge for parts that I have on hand from old computers.

RE: What is your profession?
I started programming in September, 1981. Started 'C' programming in 1990 and then really started to learn. I worked on a UNIX system for years then started Visual C++ in 1997. I loved programming and would still like to do a little so I don't forget it.

RE: Mind Reader Game
I had this brought to my attention many years ago. I was so amazed that I had to figure out how it worked. I had an idea going in how it might work but it took a little effort to determine that I was correct in my assumptions. It is really fairly simple.

RE: Anyone know how auto insurance companies work?
I got sued for $100K because of a traffic accident. My son-in-law was driving my truck and pulled out in front of a railroad truck. The driver of the other truck said he wasn't hurt but later filed a suit against my son-in-law and his lawyer had me added to the suit because it was my vehicle and my insurance. We won the case because my lawyer was able to prove that he had no injuries as a result of the accident but he still had the court rule that I was responsible for court costs. I now have to pay almost $1000 to the court because that isn't covered by my insurance. Basically, an insurance policy is customized to suit the needs of the policy holder by letting him determine the level of liability that he wants to be covered. The maximum retribution allowed for a suit is determined by state law. A policy holder takes a gamble if he choses to insure for less. In most cases that amount is more than adequate but in some cases, an injured party may be awarded several million dollars and no insurance company will cover the full amount. Insurance does nothing more that keep the policy holder from losing everything he owns if he is sued. In current society, too many people are looking for a way to get rich quick even at the expense of a fellow citizen. They don't care where the money comes from or how hard someone has had to work for that money. They just want their part even though they don't deserve it. We have to protect ourselves from those people, such as the one who sued me, and the only way we can do that is to keep ourselves over-insured.

RE: Has RCM folded?
I remember my dad flying C/L in 1952. He started my older brother and me in 1955. Both of us went on to teach many other people to fly C/L for many years after that. My brother won a few local meets in U/C stunt and Goodyear racing in Florida during the late 60's and early 70's. Dad started R/C about 1958 in Pensacola, Florida. He won a single-channel championship in about 1960 at the same time that Ron Chidgey won multi-channel. I didn't start R/C until about 1980 due to lack of funds. I only got to fly one time with my dad before he died but that was enough to create a memory.
