RE: New Version of Honey Bee King
Hello MDTand and welcome. My advise would to just personal message Rusty (Betapilot) and start talkgin to him about starting off with the Honey bee king 2. He is a great person and I highly recemend buying from him. If you scroll down to teh bottom of page 91, you can just click on the PM button on Betapilots post. Talk to him, and I am sure he will set you up and tell you the Do's and Donts.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
To test if the gyro is working, first you have to make sure the gyro switch is away from you on the transmitter, then you turn the helicopter on, wait for the gyro to initialize. (The red light will blink fast for 5-10 seconds and then go solid red) Then you move your helicopter to the right or left, and if the servo moves when you move the helicopter it is working. If the red lgiht blinks slowly, and doesnt initialize, then you have to put your trim tab into the middle. Hope this helps.

Wow, really? Thank you! I have time on Friday to look over the heli. I will give it another quick test flight, but it seems like the tail is vibrating in every direction. I will get back to you on Friday or Saturday.

Ok, I will do that when I have time. But, I just don't want to take the head apart and not know how to put it back together, or put it thogether wrong and it's even worse. How would the spindle or mainsahft be bent though, I havent had any crashes or incounters when the blades meet the floor..

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
Hello again guys, my tail is still vibrating, and i got the maingear as straight as it is goign to get. It doesn go up and down anymore. But i sitll have a vibrating look in the tail[:(] It just doesn't look very good in flight when you are hovering and your tail is all fuzzy because it is vibratiing so fast. Once again, I have not crashed once, and I don't know what is causing the vibration in the rear end..... It can't be a bent feathering shaft.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
A heading hold gyro is better than a standard one because the standard one puts the amount of rudder control it thinks will keep your heli straight, so it doesn't hold the servo in the same spot. The heading hold gyro 'will' keep the servo the direction your torque is until it is in the same spot it was originally. Ex. If you turn on your heli on and ur HHG is initialized, and you mvoe it to the right, the servo will move the oposite direction to counter that, but it won't move back until the heli is back in the original place. Hope this made sense.

RE: New Version of Honey Bee King
Well, the first question would be is are you going to plan on doing any 3D int he future with the same helicopter? If you are, you can buy the more powerful motor, but you dont have to use a big pinion. You could buy the 400DH JGF motor and put maybe a 9-10 tooth pinion on it. It will give you qutie a bit of power, but you can adjust that with your transmitter to put less pitch on when you give it throttle. The motor will just fit right in it unlike the 3800kv motor. You can also get the 3100 motor, but it has the same power as the stock motor.

Ok thank you. I have noticed that when i got the helicopter the main gear went up and down, as if it was bent a little bit. But, t's isnt thta much of a problem at the moment, and i dont want to spend any money on repairs yet. Thank you for your advise!

Hey again, my tail seems to be vibration quite a bit, but I don't know why. I have had around 15 flights on it and have had no crashes at all. BTW, this thing seems like its on crack! IT's very jumpy if I want it to be, but It can also be calmed down and fly slow circuits.

RE: New Version of Honey Bee King
Ok thanks choppersrule. But my Helicopter never came with a tune to put the wire in... Could I make one out of a drinking straw? Or could that screw up my reception? And I dont really know how to judge range that good when I am flying, so what will happen if I start to go otu of the range limit? Will it just drop like a rock or will it slowly loose a connection?

That's exactly what I have done Betapilot. I switched to deans and for some reason it just seems like it is cooler. My batteries don't really get hot, the just get a little warm. My motor is very cool though after a flight.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
Hello again, I am just curiouse to see what pinion would be an overload for the king. I have a esky 3800kv motor, and currently i have a 10 tooth. I might bump it up to an 11 tooth because I just love fast climb outs and pop ups. But i was wondering if a 13 tooth pinion would be way to much for the motor? I have the stock battery.

Hello guys, I hve tried my 2100 mah battery on it, and it seemed that i got less flying time. But i dotn even know if I charged it full enough because i didnt use a balancer and i took it off after 2 hours. (the light was still on but i didnt want to wait anylonger) So, I was wdoenring if the Evo 25 1200 mah batteryu would be good for the king? thanks.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
I have heard that the Justgofly 4400kv 400DH motor with a 33A ESC will give you great power, maybe with a 10 tooth pinion would be a good setup. I haven't personally tried this setup but I have read that is a good setup for the most power and easiest installation. I'm still a little bit of a noob so I would also like to see what other people opinions would be like too. Good luck on buting your brushless setup!

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
It really depends on what you want. If you want lots of power, you can get a 3800kv motor from ESKY but you will need to modify the frame. If you get a 3100kv it just slides in, but it doesnt have as much power as the 3800. Or you can go with the 400DH justgofly motor 4400kv (I think it's called that) and that will just slide in, plus it has even more power than the 3800kv motor. It is all up to what you want in performance.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
Is it normal for the normal flight mode to have more power after middle stick then It does in idle up? I noticed when I landed, and I had it on idle up, when I switched to normal flight mode again It jumped up in the air about 3 feet before I gently brought it down again. How can I make it have more power in idel up with the stock transmitter and reciever? Thanks!

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
Hello again, I have found my problem. Yes, the teeth were skipping Rusty, but I could not move the motor any closer to the main gear. So, after around 20 minutes of stairing at it and thinking I fixed it, I found a salution. The pinion you gave me was smaller at the top, so I put some washers on the top of the frame to raise the motor about 5mm, and it worked perfectly. Thanks for your help though.

Oh, sorry, I didn't see Betapilots post. The pinion does look a little farther apart than usual, and my main gear looks kinda black on the teeth. I will unscrew the motor and make it closer to the mainshaft. Thanks Betapilot.
