Don't worry about Kevin. He's one of the few of us left that knows how to start a glow or diesel engine.

Pat T. will be there. It's also time to start building another plane or three that won't be finished for several years. Bobby Moran is preping a nice UC circle for this year.

Most of the attendees at SMALL build and fly planes, not post there thoughts on a blog. You will be surprised at the number of people that show up.

Post # 23-No showers but it may rain. We are there to have fun. It's not a beauty contest. This will make more sense once you are there. Flying is pretty much from sun up til sun down. No time for cleanliness.

RE: SMALL 2011 Little Rock, AR
TeeBee I would suggest holding your daughter back one year in school so you can attend SMALL. AndyW You don't need to bring any planes. There will be plenty to fly. Brian S You BETTER have your SHABOOM with you. We are also going for a mass launch of Cox Skycopters this year. It will be safer this year if TeeBee really can't make it.

Contact Milton Dickey (Dickeybird) if you need help on this type of throttle set up. He uses TD's but may have some words of wisdom on the reed valve version.

RE: Keith Laumer
Are you building yours from one of the new kits? I have scratch built several Laumer designs and some are not easy. Roy Clough designs also represent a challange. Attached is the Ringer using 3 channels and a MP Jet .061 glow. LOTS of time in the covering process. Steve

RE: Keith Laumer
The Little Red Twin flys okay. It is not a slow flying plane. Build it light and warp free. Limit your engine run.

A Little Red Twin I built a few years ago. Yes, it is a FF. Tough little plane and the cute factor is high as on all of Laumer's designs.

RE: Vintage Octura White Heat series ??
Noticed AMCweb's White Heat he has posted. This is the boat he bought from me that I scratch built from a set of plans. I tried to duplicate the original. When he bought it from me I think I included a strudder that Octura made. Don't know if he installed it. It's still a good looking boat. Steve Staples Little Rock, AR
