GAS EQUIVALENTS TO GLOW ENGINES?
Hey Guys, I have a plane that had a ST2500 on it and I want to go to the gas equivalent of that engine. How do you determine what gas engine would replace a glow engine? The ST2500 was swinging a 20x6 JZ prop, I need to swing that same prop on a gasser and get the same thrust. Thanks Loopman [;)]

RE: Countdown to Perry!
Very Nice Video! It really legitimizes what we have been saying about the Perry show for some time. I think we (collectively) should thank Norm Deputy and the rest of the GAMA club for putting on a super show and hope next year will be even bigger! (If that's possible). Happy Flying! Loopman [;)]

RE: Regulation passed the House
From what I read in the content of the legislation we are out of the woods. Once Obama signs this it will be the absolute law by which we and the FAA must abide. The FAA cannot dictate law, it is not an autonomous arm of the federal government and just like us must abide by the dictates of this legislation. I would think that Rich and the rest of AMA need to "let sleeping dogs lie" on any points that could stir up a new hornets nest. I do not believe for a moment that AMA's position is that of Mr.Spock in "The Wrath of Khan"; "The needs of the many (the general AMA membership) outweigh the needs of the few (glider and jet jocks)". I think that the rest of us can continue to go our merry way and fly, fly, fly. Happy Flying (Live Long and Prosper) [sm=wink_smile.gif]

Best Way to Install Crankshaft Bearings?
Hey Guys, I am putting a CRRC 40i engine together and was wondering what the best method is of installing the crankshaft bearings? The instructions show beating them on with the spark plug wrench and a hammer (OUCH...that can't be good for the bearings or the camshaft). I also will not be using the OEM bearings and have ordered new ones from BOCA. Thanks for the advice! Happy Flying! Loopman [;)]

RE: Gassers-Do They Have to Be Inverted?
This is great advice. I will definitely change the ignition to an RCEXL one along with a new Hall's sensor and an adapter so I can use a CM6 plug, these are available from AGAPE RC Racing out of Virginia. Happy Flying! Loopman [:D]

Glow to Gas - How Do You Figure It?
Hope this isn't too stupid a question. I am buying a Fokker D-VII that was powered quite well with a Supertigre 3000 and I want to convert to gas. As a general rule of thumb, how do you go about determining what the best equivalent gas engine would be to replace a glow engine with? Is there a standard formula that can be used for any conversion? Thanks Loopman [;)]
