Yes, the 2012 Hoosier Dawn Patrol was memorable in many ways. After the "Gotha Crunching" I really felt the weekend was over for me (flying wise). But with Jim Suchy's help we were able to re attach the right flying elevator. And his work on fixing the aluminum cowl's damage, it actually looked better than it had all in a while (I'd banged it up myself twice this summer already) we had the E.IV ready to fly by that afternoon. I was so elated after I got a flight that I decided to stay for all three days (instead of heading home Sat. night). Getting some stick time on Jim's Hanover and Spad was nice too. It was great meeting up with Mike Wartman again. This was his first Dawn Patrol event. I sold out of calendars. THANK YOU ALL WHO BOUGHT ONE (or two). And on Sunday I sold Gary Hardwick my 1/4 scale SSWD1. I have mixed feeling on that, but now I can focus on the 1/4 scale Albatros DIII I've been building for wayyyyy too long. Guess I should up-date my avatar though. It was a bummer not to see Sir Percy (that's the real reason I stayed until Sunday, hoping he'd make it out by then of course). [;)] [size=3][size=2][b]Thanks for the photos of my E.IV Lee![/b][/size][/size] I shot nearly 1300 images, and I've edited those down to about 150 that I'm happy with.
