RE: YS70
Hi again, Just to justify my curiosity I pulled the YS apart again and Tandee is 100% correct the piston is not quite at TDC when the mark on the crank is at 6 oclck and cam at 12 oclock. Prety close but not quite.......however It does work and engine runs nicely. Maybe we should leave the TDC alone and talk about the marks instead [:D][:D] regards MANY THANKS MAVROS

RE: YS70
Hi Jon, You are correct ...the TDC occurs when the mark on the crankshaft is on the bottom and the mark on the cam at the top. The YS70 will not start otherwise. REGARDS AND MANY THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP.. MAVROS[:D]

RE: Oxalys problems
Hi there Mike, I totally agree with you that its about time KYOSHO got their act together with the covering..........my OXALYS was a disgrace. The OSMOSE 70 is just as bad. I use the HYDE soft mount with YS70 without any problems. I had similar problems with YS63S .......fixed by changing O ring inside Regulator.....try it Regards MAVROS AUSTRALIA

HYDE MOUNT YS70

RE: YS 170 DZ CDI
[:D] Gday Bob, 22% oil sounds pretty high considering that the idea of the CDI 170 was to run less oil ........ie less residue on airframe and less people inclined to change to electrics. Excuse my ignorence but I was just trying to contribute to the discusion. kind regards MAVROS AUSTRALIA

RE: YS 170 DZ CDI
[:D] Hi all, I am not an expert on YS engines but just wondering how much oil content are you using in these troublesome 170 cdi ? It seems to me that the high temperature you are experiencing may be the result of insuficient oil leading to an overheating and cavitation of the fuel inside the pump . May be that is why the pumps dont last..... regards MAVROS AUSTRALIA
