Baby Edge 540
Need the fuse and the rudder..do you have them in stock.? How much? Does the fuse come with the metal plates for the gear? Thanks

Wild Hare Baby Edge 540
Crashed a nice airplane on its' maiden flight. Might have had the CG too far forward. I had a YS 140 , 2 lipos and an 18 oz tank in front of the wing tube, maybe the Cg was an 1 1/2" in front of the recommended location. Put the dual rates on 50 % and took off. I got some altitiude, about 25 ' ,then it just nosed in .....even with full back stick. Luckily it went in wings level, so the wings are virtually undamaged. Just need a fuse and rudder. Very little damage to the gear. Next time full rates and the CG dead on! Live, Fly , And Learn!

RE: Hs 5645 MG
I am not having this problem,I purchased the servos and was told they might have this issue. I reprogrammed the deadband to a 1 value. Is there anything else I can do with the sevos to eliminate this potential. These are metal gear servos (new) how many hours before the gears wear out? Kind of surprising as they are metal,is there an issue with the gears also? I use the best and titest linkages I can find and install them that way. Thank you.

Baby Edge/ ys 140 fz combo
Get the deal of the century on the above combo.... brand new ...never flown. Before I finish the plane, will this combo be too much for the airframe or Cg? Yes, I realise full throttle passes or dives are probably a no-no. Thanks

Hs 5645 MG
Understand there might be an issue with flutter when using these servos under extreme loads. If so I was told reprograming the deadband may solve this issue. Is this info correct? Thanks

Fuel and Pressure line length
Can long pressure and fuel lines affect the engine when the tank gets low? I have experianced leaning and engine stall before the tank runs dry. Maybe an once or 2 left in the Hayes tank.I have a long lenght lines from my fill and pressure hoses to make it easier for the cowl to come off. I also have a LOT of raw fuel exiting the exhaust. Plenty of smoke production and low to Hi transition is fine. I have been told by YS engine users that the valve lash has to be adjusted every gallon or two. Is this true? Thanks Mike

RE: Ys 110 throttle barrel tight/binds
Troy, Update on throttle problem. I pulled the carb out and found nothing, except that the interior of the barrel had some small "rub ' marks on it and the carb barrel had very sharp edges. I cleaned and oiled with the PSP oil ,reinserted and installed a 440 linkage with an Hitec hs 425 bb servo. After Adjusting all works smoother now. Adjusting the throw required lowering the epa's but now it seems to work fine. Last question, for ease of adjustment I am usng a ball link on the servo and a Great Planes heavy duty screw lock connector on the throtle arm. I've never had one come loose, but is there a better way? What do the pros use? Thanks again for the fine help. Mike

RE: Ys 110 throttle barrel tight/binds
Troy, No I purchased the special oil from PSP.never used regular after run oil in it. All I did before I stored the engine was disassemble the airboxand regulator and clean inside . Then I found out that was a not recommended . I'll try to disassemble the carb and clean that..it very likley there is fuel residue on it,if the airbox isn't the problem. No those airbox screws are not over tight.I checked after I found out I may have created a problem . Thanks for the help. Mike

RE: Ys 110 throttle barrel tight/binds
Troy, Thanks for the reply. Is it possible that since I haven't run the engine in 6 months that there is gummed up fuel residue in the throttle body? I cleaned and properly oiled the engine prior to storing it off the aircraft. But I did not disassemble the carb/throttle, just the airbox was taken off. The problem is annoying in that the throttle is smooth, and it slides or rotates. The servo moves it ,just not consistantly. It just needs more pressure to do so .It just doesn't feel "right". I not sure if it's possibly the linkage "bowing",either. I want to try a heavier rod setup first..but then I wonder why it should need a 440 size rod to move the throttle. Mike

Ys 110 throttle barrel tight/binds
Ys110..throttle barrel rotation is tight, but not very tight. Barrel is smooth but I've tried two servos and the first 15 to 25 % the throttle opens is not " linear" . It opens slowly at first if I move the throttle stick slowly.if I move the throttle fast the arm moves in a linear way. It is tight even with the linkage disconnected. I've tried to adjust the two screws around the throttle but no luck. any ideas? Is the air box too tight? Mike

Ys 110
Troy, Just read your post regarding airleaks from the airbox and carb. I had to store my 110 for a few months and I disassembled the airbox but not the carb or throttle. I notice now that the throttle movement is not smooth. Its a little on the tight side.I think A standard servo would still move the throttle but is this a symptom of overtightening somewhere on the rear of the engine?Or could it be fuel in the between the throttle barrel and it's housing. I put the PSP afterrun oil on these parts to try and lub them. Any ideas onwht the problem could be,If any? I have not run the motor yet, since it was in storage. How do I know how much to tighten these screws? Thanks Mike

ys 110
Good afternoon, I have a ys 100 I am putting into storage for a while. It is faily new with maybean hour on it. I previously asked you if there was anything special I had to do to store it properly, besides the afterrun oil.You guys suggested cleaning the fuel from the regulartor, which I did. My question is the thin membrane that is the diaphram. Is that available as a separtate part? The housing has a square protution on it,which way does it face when assembled? To the carb side or the prop side? Thanks for your awesome support. Mike

RE: Ultra-RC Support Forum
THANKS FOR THE INFO. 8 1/4 to 8 1/2 s/b less than 21 ozs.maybe 16. Still seems far back but as long a sit cures the bolloonng problem, the plane does fly well. Suggest you walk in another man's shoes before you make a judgement call..My attitude is the culmination of Brian's poor service, first..not the other way around! Please refer to the many posts dealing with this subject,to confirm. Again, happy to see at least one person didn't get screwed by Brain.

RE: Ultra-RC Support Forum
Thanks for the reply. I notice no one from the "factory support" replyed,or replyes very much to questions. Check out YS or AEROWORKS.Send them a question and see how fast you get a response. I guess we have a difference of opinion here ,but that's ok. 21 ozs in the nose ..even with a ys 110..which you would need to have a tuned pipe to get that weight in there, and then it would not be fully forward. That's called poor design,or poor instructions. Customer service?.. if you read the threads Brian is extremely poor with customer service,he's always on the defensive with customers.. The aircraft are a good design but the excecution, quality of construction, instructions, customer service, etc is very poor. Luckily your experiance has been better, but it doesn't seem typical according to the threads and my experiance with Brian. He's a very poor businessman, in my opinion, and I'vew told him so to his "face". Good flying..I'll stick with Aeroworks..for now

RE: Ultra-RC Support Forum
Did you ever get an answer to your post? I've got the same problem. @21 oz s needed with a Saito 91 in the nose. This company is the biggest piece of crap on the web ....he's got even worse quality than Horizon's products. After reading posts from guys who bought products from this company I'm amazed at what they put up with from this guy. From now on I'll always reseach products on the RCuniverse site prior to ordering from a new company any expensive or critical items. Let the buyer beware!

RE: Ultra-RC Support Forum
I have an ultra rc quest 90 g2, with an Saito 91 in the nose. Does it seem resonable to require 21 ounces of weight to get the cg to 7 1/2 inches? The problem is besides that the cg now being at 9 1/2 it makes the aircraft"bolloon"(climb) when the throttle is cut .This is when being flown by an accomplished 3 d pilot, not I. Now it is possible the angle of incidence is incorrect on the horizontal stab. But that is a factory set item. Any "takers"?

RE: ys 110
So if the engin was running at the time of the crach then the bearings got hit?The plane came in at an angle not 90 deg to the dirt..a nice long skid turning the plane into a garage sale. Do you know what they charge to do the bearing job at the service? Will they clean it all out as well. Thanks your service is always the BEsT! Mike

ys 110
I have a fairly new ys 110.Runs fine but due to an inflight breakup of the airframe (Thunderstorm encounter..LOL)The engine is now taking a rest. I have applied the proper after run oil into the carb and top of engine thru the spark plug hole..and spun the engine. But I have heard other problems result from these engines sitting around, such as the regulator clogging from old fuel still up in there. What do you recommend as the proper proceedure to avoid any dirt or clogging problems until I run it again. Thanks Mike
