RE: 4 channel mod and brake spring tubing
Mate the servo you linked is pretty expensive and has low torque, I'd suggest buying this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9440__BMS_660DMG_HS_Super_Strong_Digital_Servo_MG_14_2kg_17sec_52g.html, I have one and its really good, and compared to the Fubata one its way cheaper and has more torque but is slower, but you dont need it to be as fast as the Fubata unless you're racing.

Mini MGT list of upgrade thread
Ok, most MMGT owners have probably realised theres not that much upgrades availible... things like shock towers and hubs from them, and the MMGT stuff is CHEAP becausae nobody buys... rods are a thicker upgrade compared to the MMGT's and should fit Shocks that are around... heard the Tmaxx LOWER arm will fit the MMGT but I'm not sure if its the older tmaxx arm which

RE: Newbie T-Maxx 3.3 Owner
Wow thats one nice Tmaxx [X(] All that aluminium must weight a ton! But your really lucky to get a deal like that, your father-in-law must be pretty cool. I hope you get the front wheels problem fixed soon. And also just a tip, try go through all the screws which are metal on metal with blue threadlocker, and have a look at the driveshafts on the front end to see if a screw or grubscrew is missing because that might be your problem.

RE: My Mini MGT electric conversion
I havent gotten my towerhobbies order for it yet but I did a bit of work on my wheely bar- I did the main thing but I need to get the right screws so heres just a mock up of how it will look, I will have probably have finished the rebuild next month because I'm concentrating more on the Tmaxx and after taking the truck apart I have found out that I have installed something wrong and I need to take apart the front end again. :? Yea I know what you mean, nobody even cares about it but if they knew how good it was they'd probably buy one in 2 secs haha. And yea for $4 for 1 shock tower I'd sooo buy one but I've already spent too much this month. Oh and I forgot to add this, if anyone wants to build a MMGT racer use this for ideas- http://www.rccaraction-digital.com/rccaraction/200809?pg=150#pg150

So heres how it looked then Since then I have broken a hub carrier (my fault) and bought a new high torque servo for it, the truck has been really fun and has held up to the brushless power, I am now doing a rebuild that will give it new bearings, wheels, shocks, a custom (proper) wheely bar and for the ESC- new capacitors (I read that the Novak HV combo has a common capacitor problem so I hope this will fix it) and a new sensor harness. I've gotten the wheels so far- I will get more stuff soon so keep an eye out.

My Mini MGT electric conversion
I did this quite a while back, just thought I'd post it up and show you how it went. First off is the parts I am using in the build: Motor/ESC combo: Novak Havok Pro 7.5t 3000kv Brushless Combo http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVHA8 Motor mount: Tekno RC V3 36mm Motor Mount http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZBH5 Battery Tray: Tekno RC V3 Battery Tray http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZBG9 LiPo Turnigy 5800mAh 4S 25C Lipo Pack http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=10287 Radio Hobby King GT2 2 Ch 2.4ghz Radio http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=10608&Product_Name=Hobby_King_GT-2__2.4Ghz_2Ch_Tx_&_Rx_ Stage 1 of the Build: This is a pic of the truck before I started the conversion Getting the truck prepared for the conversion- (Sorry for the low quality pics, I'm using my phone since I broke my camera just before the build :( ) First I removed the engine and pipe Then I did a forward only conversion to my tranny And after that was a single speed conversion to my tranny too Later I trimmed off the reciever box so I could put the battrey across the front of the car And this is how it sits now waiting for the parts to be added

Its going good, I pretty much finished the conversion yesterday (but I've been driving it for about a month- my servo needed replacing) and today I took the truck out and broke the rear diff and the right steering block but its really good. =) I havent updated my posts about the conversion because I cant upload the pics from my phone to the computer for some wierd reason- but I'll sort that out soon.

Heng Long Weight Grade 1/10 Truggy
Hi all, I am thinking about getting a used Heng Long Weigth Grade 1/10 truggy for really cheap and I was thinking that later on I could upgrade to BL but I'm not quite sure about parts for the car, does anyone own this truggy or know a reliable parts supplier for this car? Also would any other brand, maybe Tamiya parts work on the truggy? Thanks

Man, you guys have freaked me out, I just bought a Novak HV Pro 7.5t Maxx Combo for my Mini MGT E-conversion and now I'm scared that my ESC is gonna give me trouble, the thing is, if my conversion doesnt go well: eg. the ESC fails, I'm probably gonna have to quit the hobby 'cause my dad says that I've spent way too much money on these things and it always ends up with " Let me get this part and it will be all good" and then I buy that and that thing fails and so I say it again, which is kinda true cause I've payed about $1000 AUD so far and I only have one car which I'm converting to electric.[X(]
