I too am a nitro rc truck/buggy guy who is just getting started getting off the ground. Here is the plan I came up with Justin and so far has been fun. For about 180 bucks I got the Blade cx2 coaxial. Yes it is meant to be flown inside but works just fine outside in very low wind conditions. Once I master this little bugger I am going to get a Blade 400 3D which runs about 480 bucks and comes with a pretty nice Spektrum radio. From there I am going to bug the hell out of the people here that know what they are talking about as far as nice nitro helis go. The previous 2 I mentioned are electrics.

Wouldnt that be nice.[:D] Wont bother because they will say they cant do that. Reason being there is no money to be made in helping me fix it only selling me a new one. I figured it out and cut a couple wires and resoldered. Works how I want it to now.

First show me a video of a 3.3 Jato going anywhere near full throttle from a dead start with its wheels on the ground. I know its much faster because its lighter but I havent seen anyone able to control it very well. How far are you talking about racing them? 20,30, 100 yards? Also what surface are you racing on. Im telling you I can beat that wheelie machine any day under the right circumstances. Also you said even if the front is off the ground the wheels are still turning. Yeah but you are going much slower at that point and while you are trying to regain control as it wobbles on that wheelie bar Im long gone. Its all about control.

I bet youI couldbeataJato with my Revo. My Revo still has 3.3 motor too. Only performance mod really is pipe. The reason I will beat a Jato is because I havent seen a 3.3 Jato yet that can keeps its damn front wheels on the ground for more than half a second. You say go and my Revo is gonna 4 wheel drive drag race with allfourtires on the ground while the Jato wobbles down the straightaway on the wheelie bar. Id put money on it.[:)]

Actually pics were taken before I lowered it. Moved the pushrod location and it sits about level. I dont race on an oval though. Its a technical track. Plenty of jumps. I still want it lowered and leveled though. Im hoping the 50wt shock oil and heavier springs will keep me from bottoming out too much.

IMO and many others Opti drive is junk and should be trashed the day the Revo is purchased anyway.LMAO I have heard of it causing runaways, shifting into reverse by itself when you are WOT and such. Trash it and get a venom failsafe.

Ive been researching these because I am looking at buying one. The RTR is actually built out of pretty high quality parts. (The chassis is 4mm thick). Of course kit is better and much more expensive. Also consider RTR comes with a DX2 radio. Thats a pretty nice radio. Am I a pro? Nope. RTR looks good to me.
