RE: Eflite MCX and MSR batteries holding up?
(Hi 46U Thanks for help with TBE) You are right about these MCX batteries not holding up. I made an adapter so now I charge these little single cells with a charger that displays Peak Voltage at full charge. These E-flite batteries brand new will peak at about 4.24 volts. Within a week or 2, they are down to 4.15 volts. That doesn’t sound like much but consider this: When I fly with a new battery, it takes less than ½ throttle to maintain a hover. With an older battery it takes more than ½ throttle. To avoid LVC, I set my timer for 4 ½ minutes and land when the buzzer goes off. Also, the E-flite 110 MAH batteries are rated 8 C. Our helicopters consume almost all of that current. I think when batteries are discharged at full capacity that they don’t last as long.

RE: MCX FlyBar from factory unbalanced. Why?

I could post video of trimmed-out MCX in Toilet Bowl Effect without me touching the sticks! Unfortunate comment. Some member could interperet that as an insult

RE: Magnun 75 Prop-RPM figures
Actually it is my friend's engine. I have not tached it. Just watched the plane fly. What I am trying to find out is baseline reading so I can compare. Also Magnum recommends a 12-6. Isn't this kinda small for a .75? What props works good for you guys? Thanks

More JR r700 glitching!
[/I just bought a JR r700 reciever and it's driving me nuts! So this is what it does: I installed it in my new plane (40 size SuperSport with 4 BB HiTech servos). In checking the receiver, everything looked good, but then I turned off the transmitter. instantly all servos went nuts, glitching like crazy. I even switched cryatal and servos[JR] on the r700 .Same results . I know this is not a valid test of a receiver. However,. I tried switching out the 700 to3 other receivers(2 creditcard [226] rx and an anceint [ 327x ].There was absolutely no glitching period!! Not even a single twitch! Put the R700 back in and crazy glitching. I have probably 6 JR FM receivers and not a single one does this other than the R700. So I called JR Tech and they won't look at it because they say that's not the way they do their range tests. If any of you fliers have noticed this problem, please respond. Also, if any of you could take a minute, try this test. Simply turn on plane [Rx] and not the transmitter. Update:THE ORIGINAL TESTS WERE DONE INDOORS so what I did was to try this test out side. The problem got better. But still the fact of the matter is that in the harshest of enviroments The other JR receivers were much more stable. If you try this test I urge you to try it indoors. What do I do with a receiver I don't trust? Thank you so much!

I want to convert a Guillow DC-3 to electric. Twin motors. Wing area about 160 sq in. Could someone recommend a motor (2) for this project? Preferrably geared, small and light. I think each motor would have to put out 2 1/2 - 3 ounces of thrust on 6 or 7 cells Thanks for your help.
