CORGI SEAGRAVE K PUMPER LOS ANGELES
Hi fellow members, I collect Corgi Diecast Fire trucks, and currently one of my models was ruined, the model was The Seagrave K Pumper Los Angeles fire engine (model #US50809). I wish I could show you a photo but its almost impossible to find one. The truck is only 1 out of 1500 ever built so as you can tell it is very hard to find. I was wondering if anyone of you guys is also a Corgi Collector and could also help me find a new one. Any help would be great thanks.

Okay, and I dont mean to make this a second thread, but my antenna broke off in the car wash, and the part of the antenna that screws in the rubber part on the outside of the car is still in, and since I am no car expert with this stuff, is this a serious problem or is this an easy fix, and since I dont dare mess with fixing this stuff myself, Im taking it to my local autoshop but will it cost me alot?

Aftermarket Headlights
Hey guys I love my 2002 Taurus, and since I do alot of night time driving I really need brighter headlights than the ones that come on the stock. I have been having a hard time searching for exactly what I want, so I hope my fellow rcu members can help. Im really not looking for anything like too exotic, but just something thats a little different from the stock. Heres a pic of a pair I really liked but I couldnt get to the site. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/4143IKUwxXL._SL500_.jpg&imgrefurl=http://buysaveautoparts.com/JOE-ROCKET-PHOENIX-50-JACKET&usg=__YM6OGB5hPpGTRdYVPo341lj6Px0=&h=318&w=500&sz=29&hl=en&start=0&sig2=VnccI9Sxf03SvceCJmegtA&zoom=0&tbnid=1T7WLinIhiqt8M:&tbnh=83&tbnw=130&ei=eZJ9TcK8M4WIrgHhhYD5Bg&prev=/images%3Fq%3D2002%2BFord%2BTaurus%2Bheadlights%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7_____en%26biw%3D1004%26bih%3D514%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=801&oei=eZJ9TcK8M4WIrgHhhYD5Bg&page=1&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0&tx=56&ty=17 Thanks guys

RE: A Difficult Decision
The fact that you have to prove to us that your telling the truth makes you look even more pathetic. Sorry to say but its true.
ORIGINAL: meef rustler I was never trying to brag or anything. It was a legitimate question. It's true that my parents do not keep cars that are older than 2-3 years. The longest was 3 and the shortest was 6months. My parents are not in debt. I have my permit. And saying that I drive the cts-v is just to say that I know what that power is capable of. If I wanted to go 150mph I would just go to the local drag strip that is ten minutes away. And I you think that I have it good, well I didn't always. When I was younger, we lived in a small 800 sq ft house. That we were renting. My dad was unemployed and my mom worked at a bank. I was paying for groceries out of my account from christmas, birthday, etc. Just so we could have food on the table. I know what it's like being broke, and I respect those who must go through that and I hope better for them. We give money anytime we can. Just last week, this woman that works where my mom works was diagnosed with cancer and she has been out of work for a week. Its very sad, she has a grand daughter whom she takes care of that her mother just dissapeared from and all she could afford to give her was a doll. Anyways, we just gave this woman $1500. We sent a check in the mail two days ago. All she said she needed was $200 for bills. My parents may not keep a car long, but that's their choice. Not mine, yours, just theirs. So, I just thought I would clear up some misconceptions.
I personally think this kid was bored and made the whole thing up, I know theres parents out there that just drive me nuts and are crazy but please anything older than a 07 is old give me a break. Wake up and smell the fresh air dude, your parents if this is true are nuts and completely the reason why our country is looked as so arrogant. I am a proud american citizen and I dont want to sound like im some brainiac or wise guy, but this is why kids annoy me. They think inorder to impress everybody you have to have the nicest things and no matter who has what your always on top. Let me tell you something kid, when your in the real world and if you do join the academy, the first thing your going to learn is self-discipline which I have yet seen in you. Stand up to your parents and tell them what you want and dont be a little whimp because your afraid you might not get a 2011 camaro or a 2011 mustang. You sure as heck dont even have a license so you shouldnt even be thinking about a car until your ready to drive one. I hope you think about what you decide to post next time because were not trying to be mean but if you expect us to think its cool that your parents are rich and its not that its that your just coming off so braggy and cocky, were not going to really consider helping you. Sorry im done rambling on but this just ughhhh heres the car i think tho you should get if you do get one Least its economical lol

Remember tho, hes joining the academy, hahaha
ORIGINAL: saucySavy I know lol. But this thread just plain annoys me. It just seems that this kid came on here to brag and rub it in our faces. Everything he has said is extremely snotty and dumb. Thats great that your 'parents' have good money kid, but if the difficult decision at 16 years old in your life right now is deciding between a mustang and comaro, or a truck, then have fun in the real world. "Should i choose a mustang or comaro?" F*** that. Get yourself a job, and buy a used civic or something. Oh wait make sure its newer than 07'! your parents dont want an "old" car in their driveway! Yea well, i dont have $27,000 lol, I test drove it and I took it to my local auto shop and they said just watch the oil and pay attention to the left ball joint since its getting time to eventually need replacement, other than that they said it is fine. So I ended up buying it saving $675 bucks by trading in my 95 Olds and only paying $2500. Thanks for the help guys appreciate it.

RE: A Difficult Decision
I 100% agree with shark, not to be a jerk, but thats just snobby to say anything under 07 is a old car. I am about to buy a 2002 Ford Taurus and thats a new car for me. Right now I drive a 95 Olds. Im totally there with ya shark. After my dad left my mom, its been a tight struggle making ends meet. I have to work double as hard as I did before to get what I would have been given if my dad had not left. Heres the thing you have to think about. Do you want them to be threatening grounding your car everytime you do something wrong? When I had my explorer I wasnt the title owner, I was always threaten the risk of getting it taken away. Heres my advice, better to have a pos thats 100 percent yours instead of having a Mercedes Benz 100 percent owned and bought by your parents that you get to drive around with just to brag about at highschool. I know highschoolers compete for high status, whose got the hummer whose got the corvette, but in the end, a car is a car, and whether or not its yours, if you truly wanna be independent and responsible someday for yourself, then ask your parents to back off and let you get any make or year you want to get. Thats my opinion.
ORIGINAL: The_Shark
ORIGINAL: Jgaff2 Still, Shark has a point. Since you don't have any money or a job it will be very hard(and frankly, impossible) to pay for insurance, gas, etc. and even to buy the car if your parents aren't helping you out. But anyway, if anything, I would have to recommend you the ram 1500. My dad has one and it has the hemi in it. It does pretty good on mpg too becuase it has cylinder reduction.
guess what? its not easy, but its do-able, in highschool i had to work FOR the car, because coming from a proverty stricken family, if i couldnt pay for gas, i couldnt drive. i go to school full time, and to work 30hours a week. oh and tell your parents they have issues, anything newer than 02 is a "new" car in my book, phhht, i find it so trivial to worry about status.[8|] if after all this you and your parents are bent on a 07 or newer car (for reasons unknown) i would suggest a Volvo C-30 it is a two door hatch back, AWD 5Cyl Turbo with 5 stars across the board in saftey. fun, zippy, cool looking and insurance should be cheap. 2002 Taurus SES
Im looking at these, I am looking at one today by my house, its $2975 and has new brakes, and new ball joints and bearings. The A/c is working, which better be lol and the guy said it has 200k miles on it, but all highway. I know its alot but taurus have been notorious for going a long time. Does anyone have this car? If so how is it, and what do I have to look out for when I am taking care of it.... Do you have any problems with losing coolant or oil and I heard taurus's back springs usually go out with out knowing so what will I need to watch before that happens. Thanks for your info guys and I hope to upload pics soon.
