speed control
I built a thrust measuring device. Is there a way I can control a brushless motor manually? When I use a rec. and xmtr.,they make the digital scale inaccurate. matt

RE: assume amps
Thankyou It is then safe to assume ( more wattsmore ihrust.) Of course; to be sure, one must static-test with a watt-meter and tack.. I don't have a particular combo in mind. I am looking for a way to size mtrs.. matt

RE: assume amps
I'll re-write my question: Is it safe to assume that if new brushless mtrs., propped correctly, uses more watts, measured with an in-line watt-meter, has more thrust ? matt

RE: saito 115
Sklav Are you getting much vibration on your 115 ? I"m thinking of buying one. but am worried about vibration. I"m getting 8800 rpm on my new saito 85 with a apc 14x6. Runs like a dream. I believe I read 8800 rpm with a 15x8 apc in the saito 115 specks. matt

RE: Saito 82
Asmond Thanks For the quick reply. I'm a old O S Man. (not any more, since o s put that hidious price on there 81fs.) So I don't know much about saito. People at my club told me satios were better because the pistons were made from exotic metals, and had no rings. I have nothing against ringed engins. O S are ringed, and there great. I jut needed a smaller lighter engine, and saito 82 size was perfect. Thanks again p.s. I heard saitos are hard to break in. ( Take a long time, and if not done right, they can be ruined.) Is this untrue also? Matt

Saito 82
I got my first saito for xmas. It's a .82. On the box it says " ringed'. I took it back to the LSH and asked fo a 'non ringed" 82 . He said,"all saito 82fs have ringed cyclinders". Is this true ? Matt

RE: OS Engine Service?
Run it on the ground about 200 rpm below peak. This will put the engin under stress. If It Keeps a constant rpm for five minutes, you just saved a postage stamp. If it dosen't it'll probably cost you more to fix it that its worth. matt

4* 60 From the link you gave me; it appears that futaba and hitec modules are the same. Is this true/ Almost like you, I've had two Optec 6 xmtrs since they been on the market. One for my foamies, and one for my nitro birds. The never failed . I like them because they are so easy to program. Matt
