RE: reinforcing motorbox/firewall
ORIGINAL: sensei
ORIGINAL: 3DAP Most light weight army uavs are made from carbon fibre not balsa. Check out Air and Space and see what they are using carbon for. Also balsa may not prevent twist like mentioned before. Some of these guys have a lot more exp than other wise given credit for. Go far the Carbon or at least fibre glass. this stuff really strengthens joints or people would not be telling to use it.
I think I will check out the Air & Space mag. so I can learn about composites... Bob
LOL!.....guys his name is sensei for a reason......the balsa tri will work just fine.

RE: -- reposted to JR forum, pls ignore -- JR/Spektrum 2.4GHz receivers and rx antennas
"I presume this means that the antenna is in fact a dipole antenna connected to this single receiver, and that it is therefore not optimal to orient the two sides of the antenna at an angle to each other. " It is a single receiver. Leave the antennas as is, you do not have to bend them at 90 degrees(and should not). Just like the satelites on the 921, and ar9000, ar7000(and the main receiver unit on the 7000).

RE: new extreme flight rc 88" yak too heavy??
I remeber 6-7 years ago i had a 87" laser 200 with a PE 4.2. What was the box advertised weight........15-16lbs.........actual weight.....19-20lbs........ Watching Chris's video makes no question in MY mind this plane is NOT heavy.....and will fly better than Great on a 50cc engine. My pig for a laser flew good.....and im sure this Yak will be everything Chris says it is. Ahum!......NOT HEAVY!

RE: Lets discuss P-Factor
Gyroscopic precession is only a factor when yawing or pitching. A yaw moment will cause pitch, and a pitching moment will cause a yaw. Examples: Piper cub lifting tail when accelerating for takeoff (Pitch down) will cause plane to yaw left. (yaw left) Cessna 172 rotating from takeoff (Pitching up) will cause plane to yaw right. (yaw right) (Yaw left)-(Pitch up) (Yaw right)-(Pitch down) :)

RE: New Hanger 9 Planes
35-36% bird that would fit the new E-116, electric showtime that is the same size as the funtana and edge, larger showtime sounds cool too, and a wild design monoplane foamy that is comparable in size to a tensor, like a YF-70 Thanks

That airfoil makes a better transition from stalled flight than a normal symetrical airfoil, making it better for 3D and still good for precision aerobatic. Matt McCarty
