8ight's Rear Hinge pins... your opinions please
Horizon seem to think that there is no problem with them and that they are not weak. In my house hold alone I had 3 brand new Losi 8's. All 3 had problems with the rear hinge pins, 2 of the 8's had issues while they were breaking in.... hard hits? I don't think so. What I am asking from you is can you honestly tell me if you have bent your rear hinge pins at any point while racing or practise, not bashing as this would probably be a hard hit. This is just the stock and losi upgraded one please Thanks people

RE: Check out this wheel dyeing result
I think he used Black.... I have had some thing before that was black but you could almost see a red/orange tinge to it so i think it must have jsut been a weak solution of black.

RE: Savage does not change to second gear
Not wanting to teach you to suck eggs but have to turned the 'gear changing scew'? Turn it anti-clockwise and it will change a little earlier. If you still have probs then it could be some thing else as gamesbeer says.

RE: Official Hyper 8 Thread
I.ve had this happen with a bad landing. The hole in the rear and front bumper is too deep for the hinge pin, meaning the pin can slip into it more and then means the arms can 'POP' off easily, very anoyying, any one have any solutions?

RE: Newbie: difficult to assemble Pro Kits?
Hello mate, You sond like you have a few brain cells and so I would say you would be fine with a Kit. I was fairly NOOB when i got my Savage SS and built that with ease and thus had a greater knowledge for my truck. You will gain far far more knowledge building your buggy from just getting an RTR. Just take it slow, read through the set up guide before assembling any thing, ask any Q's on here but most of all have fun!
ORIGINAL: 46u That does not seem very good on the fuel economy but if you are having problems could account for the poor fuel economy. Have you tried sealing the engine?
Ok, I found my problem, the Exhaust gascet had crumbled and gone! NEw one in and running about 8-9 mins and a lot cooler, had to richen her up a little now. Phew!

RE: werks .21 B3
Actually it might be longer than that... but not much. we were running 5 min heats and some races i would have about 1/5 of a tank left and others very little left, however other racers were running out just after the 5 min horn! No i have not checked for air leaks! Stupid i know but as it was a new engine it didn't occur to me that it might have one! Very NOOOOB mistake to make i know, so i am aiming to strip her down and then re-build and seal it and see if that helps any.

RE: werks .21 B3
I do like mine but have had a few issues with it. I had to send the carb back to be repaired and seem to have a few tuning issues. It seems to run a little hot ATM but i hpoe to sort this out on thur down my track, Other wise i love it! Loads of top and bottom and has helped me win 2 out of 4 races (the other 2 i cam second!) so im pleased with it. 46U - i was getting about 6/ 6 1/2 mins run time running hard.

Torsen Diffs.... Good or bad?
Whats the main difference about them? would you recomend them? Better than spider diffs? The reason why i ask is i have one in my Hyper 8 in the front and was wondering if i should keep it, change it or replace with a new Torsen Diff if it blows. Cheers

RE: clutch or centre diff probs
Ok so here is the run down. Both front and rear diff's out drives are fine, the grub screw is tight so no problems there. Hoilding the spur andmoving the buggy forward, the front drive shaft turns right and the rear turns left. If i spin the spur and hold all four wheelson the floor, only the front drive shaft turns but it does not seems to try and move the buggy. I have had the spider diff apart and it looks fine, not rounded at all. All pins are there so none of them are spinning free. So what else should i check? i have run out of ideas. Please some one help im in desperate need of getting fixed by tomorrow.

RE: clutch or centre diff probs
So even though when im spining the spur with all four wheels on teh floor and teh rear drive shaft does NOT move but teh front drive shafy DOES move, you think it is teh front that has the problem. Ok, will have a look and see if the grub screw is loose. Cheers agai, you been real helpful

RE: clutch or centre diff probs
Ok holdng the spur and rolling forward... front drive shaft spins to the right and the rear spins to the left. If i spin the spur on my own, only the front drive shaft moves, the rear stays still, how ever ther front drive shaft does not try to move the front wheels?

RE: clutch or centre diff probs
Well if i hold the the centre diff i can still push teh buggy back and forth, also if all 4 wheels are on teh floor, i can slowly spin the centre diff, it has to be the diff right?

It was running fine (well needed tuning a little more) but was running around a car park, then bought it in to adjust the HN and went to drive off and it wouldn't move, just revved up high.

clutch or centre diff probs
Hey guys, Im having a few probs. Basically im getting a lot of rev's but im not moving. Looks like the clutch is not engaing. I have the CB off and all looks normal, springs are still strong and shoes look fine. Could it be the centre diff has gone? If so how do i tell? Its Spider diff on my Hyper 8. If i hold it i can still move the car back and forth, should i be able to? Any one with any ideas?
