RE: New CGRCjets super scale A-10
Hi Chris, Glad to hear you were able to get resettled. Looks like you're already making good progress again, I'm looking forward to seeing the results, good luck! (Actually it looks like it's more about skill then luck [;)] ) Joe

Nice Chris! My eye is untrained and inexperienced but the level of detail looks to me to be very crisp and in depth and the surface finish flawless. (So those are mine, right? [;)]) Joe

RE: New CGRCjets super scale A-10
This constant stream of discussion and photos is sure keeping my anticipation strong. I can't wait to get my hands on the new unit. It's probably not helping that everytime I walk into the shop I see those two Stumax 110's staring at me like a couple of orange eye balls [;)] I also now know what Sam is referring to regarding an "internal server error" [:@] Joe
ORIGINAL: cgrcjet
ORIGINAL: McsGuy Stan, the level of detail and perfection in your work is inspirational, your plane is epic! Chris, your A10 will be my first scale attempt. Please excuse my ignorance, I have alot to learn but are there different competition classes based on size? For example is it typical for a given plane that a 1:5 go up against a 1:7 or is scale size irrevelent

For example is it typical for a given plane that a 1:5 go up against a 1:7 or is scale size irrevelent? I flew my first 170mph+ jet at a meet yesterday. It was the CARF Spark utilizing Stumax' new 110 fan and it was an extrodinary rush. As I was walking it back to the pits I was asked on 3 separate occasions if it was fuel turbine powered, it sounded that much like it was. Also exciting is by changing from 10S to 12S I have a 200mph craft so I will be able to stretch my skill on it. Thanks, Joe
ORIGINAL: wowplanes I added a sound system programmed with gatling gun and missile sounds. It is so cool to fly by and shoot the gun and launch a missile. I will have to make another video soon with the sounds.
Hi Fahim, can you provide a link to the sound system you used? Thanks, Joe

RE: New CGRCjets super scale A-10
Thanks guys, I'm not used to such competent feedback [:D] Chris, as you work through your design are you able to develop fairly accurate take off and landing mph specs? I plan to have full telemetry and knowing the real boundaries would be great. (I know the final weight is the critical component which you don't have full control over, but something based on min/max values)

Is the Deceleron meant to open all the way only or is it supposed to have partial settings like regular flaps?

RE: New CGRCjets super scale A-10
Hi Chris It was good to talk with you on the phone. I'm looking forward to your new A10. It will be my first effort at serious scale. I'll be using two Stumax SM110-52's for power, they're his older versions but the sound is the most jet like I've encounted. Thanks for your talented work and committment to quality, Joe
