I agree with you as would most taxpayers. I don't think we could win an argument with their Corporate lawyers though. Bob

I doesn't look like there was enough of the hinge in the elevator. They don't look centered. I would agree with the glue (or lack of it) assessment. Good luck with your case.

RE: Fuel tank venting
David, Using a Taxi Tank when filling and starting will prevent this from happening to you again and also allow you to conserve your on board fuel supply for the actual flight. I'm glad that nothing happened to your plane. Bob

I had a 300 Twin. Sounded like a Harley with hot cams when it was idleing. Awesome! The 4 banger he has is smooth and quiet.

It is beautiful. He later installed baffling to direct the air to the cylinders like on a full scale plane.

OK Tom, I thought it was the GP model he was talking about. A buddy of mine built the big Sig Spacewalker and put the OS Pegasus 320 4 cylinder in it. See the pics!

I have a Saito 90 twin cylinder in mine. The cylinders stick though both sides of the cowl. Looks very scale like.

Hi All, Heading to Vero Beach for a couple of weeks and was wondering if there are any Jet flying sites (or any flying sites for that matter) within an hour or two drive from Vero Beach. TIA Bob

RE: *** Monster Planes 2009, RCU On-site Coverage ***
That's too bad no one from Europe came. Last year they had a bunch of folks from Europe scheduled to come but they backed out due to the high fuel prices making the shipping prohibitive. I had planned to go last year but when the guys from Europe and the UK backed out I cancelled mjy plans. I think in order for this to become a major event you have to get the guys with the REALLY big stuff to come. And that means the Germans and the Brits. Those guys really build some Monsters! Just my $0.02 worth

Did any Europeans show up with their Monsters? What about the C-17 from the Dominican Republic (formerly owned by Ali Machinchy)? Bob

RE: Jet meet in the Pocono's
I wasn't intending to jump on or in anything. It was your implication that the field wasn't suitable for heavy scale jets that got me going. After seeing the large , heavy and very expensive jets (i.e. Mibo A-10's, and the BVM crew) flying there without incident, I'm convinced anything currently sold as a scale or semi-scale jet could fly from that field without incident. Hope to meet you next time you go. I'll be there again this year. Best regards, Bob

WB1 If you fly off of grass and you think that the Hamburg field isn't up to snuff, you must fly off of a putting green at the local Country Club. Have you really ever been to Hamburg to fly? Bob

Hey Rick, I was talikng to Brian last night and for 20 minutes the Hamburg Jet Rally was the topic of discussion. I think we have a 4th guy coming this year. Brian and I are both bringing 20 gals each. Dom will probably have about 30! I hope you ordered up the same type of weather we had last year. It was perfect weather to be outside. Take Care Bob

RE: Evolution 26GX - throttle spring
Leave it on! If you remove it, over time the engine vibration will cause the holes for the throttle plate shaft in the carburator to become worn.
