RE: THE RETURN OF THE VIPERJET
Sorry, did not find any picture about it. Anyway is simple...just take off the rings, put some carbon fiber at the slots opened at the fuselage after removing the rings, and the rest is common sense... is not big deal at all

RE: THE RETURN OF THE VIPERJET
For my taste I prefere to use the full bypass on this kind of jets...Never had cooling problems and it make the jet go faster. In this thread I think you'll see pictures of the way I close mine...I made some trimming to it... Removing the inlets cowls is a good idea that also will give the model with more scale look. One thing that will help you to distribute the weight propelly for balance, is to use JR 2721 in the Ailerons and Flaps with 3/4" arms....these are light weight servos...not heavy like the 8611's. These servos locations are behind de CG...

RE: THE RETURN OF THE VIPERJET
Nice surprise to see this thread alive. The Viperjet is to heavy for its size...so the stall speed is higher than normal...keep that in mind, especially during turns...you have to add a few clicks of throttle before turning Speed breaks are not needed, and you'll safe weight without them. Instead, program the crow setting in your transmitter. With all the factory modifications to the last edition, it has a big tail heavy tendency, so displacing the turbine about 1" forward will help, but also will require an extension to compensate the tail pipe length. Proper installation of the hinges for the flaps is a critical issue,,,and all models I had seen build by other has this same problem. The hinge pivoting point shout be located flush with the bottom of the slots to ensure proper travel. This is very critical for the flaps in order to obtain 45 degree deflexion without over riding the servos. In addition ..at the bottom of the wing you'll have to cut about 2 mm of the trailing edges right behind the flaps to allow them full deflexion. At the end...I had to use 2 Nicads 6.0 Volts 2400 Mamps packs at the nose cone for balance. Good luck...is a fun to fly jet. Regards, MS
ORIGINAL: Edgar Perez Axel, I think there is some confusion on the hotels. The advertisement linked to the fly-in website may lead to believe that the recommeded hotel is in Punta Cana. Seems the have sevaral locations. Maybe you can clarify the specific hotel and rates. Thanks
Edgar, The hotel is EL Embajador. Axel is handling the rates with them, and will be informed shortly in the web page ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ORIGINAL: fevifi Axel: If I decided to stay in Boca Chica.... Just to also have a beach..... How far will it be from Boca Chica to the event?????? Or is there any other Hotel, resort with a beach closer????
Fevili, You can stay al Boca Chica, but consider that with the traffic is at 1+hours from the flying site. Uhm...there is a new road the connect the Boca Chica highway with a small town close to the field...let me check on that. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We look forward to see you all here in our sunny Winter [8D] Frankie...thanks for your support [sm=thumbup.gif]
