RE: Club Enya
Holm, The Facebook link I posted is for a group created by Enya lovers by Ken Enya himself. Kinda neat to put a face to the name - I hope he posts pictures of the factory on there!
ORIGINAL: NM2K This should be interesting... Ed Cregger
Tell me about it. Enya has never been at the forefront of engine research and design - this appears to be new territory for them. They have a SOLID albeit OLD product lineup right now, but it seems like they're not content resting on their laurels. But this is such an interesting concept - I didn't even think something like this was possible! Very strange times, these are - Enya pioneering a new engine design. Who would have thunk???
ORIGINAL: CustomPC I have plenty of methanol and nitro so i can now mix up a couple of litres with straight castor for the break-in. Do you really think an ABN motor needs 25%? I could understand if it was a steel piston/iron cylinder motor.
25%? That seems a little too much for an ABN. Steel/iron definately need it, but I can't see 25% oil being of any help (besides break-in, of course). For flying, 20% should be a maximum for this engine, no?

RE: What servos in 1/2 a?
The way I see it (and I very well may be wrong) there are only 3 options for servos in 1/2a. HS-81 - your standard micro servo HS-65 - sub-micro, yet high torque/speed Futaba S3114 - a better alternative to the "feather" sub-micro HS-55. Same price, weight, size... but more torque and speed. -Mike

RPMs - Enya Ultra 11CX
Hi everyone! I just ran and broke in my new Enya Ultra 11CX - thats the new ABC one - not the old, proven AAC version. It had a really smooth transition with the new twin-needle carb, and it sounded decent with the new baffled "silent" muffler. Here's the initial figures: Prop: APC 7x5 Fuel: Omega 10% RPM: 15330 (peak) 2600 (reliable idle) Are these within the range I should be seeing for a 2-ball bearing 11 size engine with that prop and fuel? If not, would removing the baffle from the muffler give me a boost? Also, I was wondering what props would be suitable for this engine - I plan to put it in a Herr Little Somethin' Extra... (either this, or the Enya SuperSport 15 BB). THANKS!! -Mike
