RE: How do you hang/store ur planes?
The wall bracket ideas are simply and effective BUT i got all the walls covered with bracket shelving holding parts and books, so the strap idea is out standing My05Monte!...very simple to make. I guess I could use a ladder to get them up and down since my ceiling is Cathedral type well maybe ... the shop is a little cramped for moving ladders around. What goes up...ain't coming down real

Much thanks for the photos....Delman you ought to make those plans available on-line as a PDF... for $5.00 ! great!

Creating Flaps?
I have two (2) small electric Mustangs kits and want to be able to slow these down for landings. I would really appreciate some ideas for a One (1) servo flap installation. BTW: the Trailing Edge of these planes ends inside the fuse where the wing attachment screws are, sooo that means no torque bars mounted into the flap will work. The flaps must be activiated somewhere inside the wing. The only way I can think of is to add two(2) more servos!. Which is going to create a weight and power consumption problem. Any creative Warbird guys out there? thanks for reading and responding.

RE: Battery and Charger Help
Good info. I was about to post a similar question. My FMA Cell-Pro works great w/built in cell balancer. The 12 volt charger looks like it should replace those 12volt batteries that I keep for my Nitro planes as they wear out and cannot hold a charge for this type of use. !!!!

RE: ESC ratings for Dummies!
Geezzee, glad I asked. Its a Castle Creation Thunderbird 54. On the ESC there is a little note 12C MAX. No further details anywhere....I thought it was refering to the input from the Batteries?. Also it clearly states everywhere that it will not handle anything over a 3 cell Lipo which is fine and thats what i planned on using. Your saying that the 12C could mean something other than Input capacity.? I thought all I had to worry about was exceeding the 54 amps. Ya Learn Sumtin New everyday!!!!

ESC ratings for Dummies!
I just received a brand name ESC that I'm using on a E-Flite 15 motor. I plan on using TP batteries 3S2p 2200mah for power . THose Batts have a 20C discharge rate BUT >>> the ESC has a small note on the body that says "12C max"! Please tell me if this is a warning not to go over a 12C discharge for this 54amp ESC. ALSO why is this info not part of the baseball card discription from the manufactorer..which BTW has an excellant reputation.

RE: What did you spend in 2008?
Well it seems that a "CHANGE" has occured....and it is effecting our buying habits. I agree with Khodges about losing interest except I can't figure out why. Usually I get rev'd up for the winter building season, not this year. I took inventory on just 1 wall of my shop and concluded that "I've got enuff stuff to keep me busy for 3 winters!". Most of my spending

What did you spend in 2008?
Since about AUGUST of 2008 I have really pulled-in the belt with regard to my RC purchases. In fact I try to avoid my monthly RC mags and my clubs News Letter. Imagine my surprise when I showed-up at my LHS, that I had been avoiding, only to find out that it was running a "Going Out Of Business Sale". I felt guilty for not supporting them as much as I had in the past. Oh well. Just goes to show how easy I used to pull out the ol'plastic withiout even thinking twice. Now I'm thinking 3 or 4 times before I pull the trigger. How about you guys?

Scale LG doors Mustang
I just surprised myself that with all the Mustang kits, ARFS, books in my shop, I don't have a scale drawing of a Mustang's landing gear doors. I don't need a entire set of plans or blueprints I just want the scale proportions so I can enlarge it in order to make some working doors from scratch!. Plane is 65"ws Mustang D. Any heads-up on where to go on the net or here

BTW: I have Litho Alum sheets from a printing shop my buddy owns. I will not use on this size bird but on my TF. GS. THis is only 65" ws and I plan on using Lab Metal. It's real aluminum paint. Can be applied to almost anything

Making LG doors?
( hope this is in the right forum) Geez, I think I'm over my head by taking this on but how does this sound as a start: I'm installing CJ air-retracs in a very nice older RTC ModelTech P-51D. First everything needs to be hacked open and braced, etc.etc. I've traced out the dimensions of inner & outer gear doors over the sheeted balsa on a piece of mylar...should I now glass the wing in this area a couple of layers then try to cut out the doors from my pattern?.....how do you do this if you were scratch building?. Also who sells P-51 wheels that are not plastic? 2 3/4"? Thanks for any ideas ....

RE: Fuel Tank mounting
What size plane is this? Did you say that?. If this set-up goes inside the plane then wrap it with foam rubber 1/4 inch and then use cable-ties to secure it down to ..those rails I guess. I'm not getting a clear picture of the whole concept. Especially if this a large glow plane. Use the cable ties ( smallest you can find) to secure the fuel tubing that exists the tank and where it fits on the engine...everywhere in fact that tubing needs to stay in place.

RE: NEW~~~E-Flite Extra 260 480 ARF~~~
Anybody that has this plane loves it...so do I..except for the canopy. The original never sat it there correctly SO I ordered a new one from HH. OH the HORROR, this one did not even come close to fitting flush. I measured it from the fuse and then along the canopy bottom mating side...no go! This has got me bugged! I tried a search in this thread and it says my search is "Too General" anybody experiancing this?.

Can anyone give me a reference on "Getting Started in Airbrushing"? I imagine this is like most hobby stuff that I'd rather buy a decent setup vs. wasting bucks on learning with junkie stuff. I teach guitar and you would'nt believe what junk parents buy for their kids....makes learning 10x's harder than just buying something decent! Thanks.

RE: Fiberglass L.G. can't last!
Your correct about Practice,Practice, and the tips on landings are helpful too. I have been flying my Andrew Jesky Extra 330 in pretty hot ( and level) with each flight I get more comfortable about that... If I could manage to keep it from coasting off the pavement!!!!!!!!...... Hey do they sell Brake-Pads for electrics??? LOL. Thanks lilbanchee

Fiberglass L.G. can't last!
All electrics that I fly ( I fly off of new asphalt parking lot) that have Fiberglass one-piece landing gear will eventually break. From smaller 20 oz. to 50 oz. planes the point of failure is always the same. A metal bolt axle running thru a 1/8th" Fiberglass strut the resulting pounding and jarring will cause the FG to crack open. Are there some remedies that can be applied here? I appreciate any input. BTW: " Practice better landings has already occured to me,....
