RE: BH Gilmore Lion covering
No, I just had a little hard landing and ripped a wheel off a bit. I need a little bit of both colors.

BH Gilmore Lion covering
I need to order some covering for my BH Gilmore Lion 50cc. I believe its Ultracote tan or cream and a red. Does someone have the exact colors so I can order a couple rolls?

BH AT-6 Texan 91 ARF - gas engine?
I'm putting together my Christmas list and was thinking of the listed plane. www.hobbypeople.net/index.php/bh-models-at-6-texan-91-arf-w-air-retracts-oracover.html I would like to put a gas engine in this and was wondering what would fit without cutting alot. How about a DLE 20? I searched but didn't find much so if there's already a post, maybe you could point me in that direction. Thanks. If this plane isn't very good, maybe you could suggest another scale type plane with retracts and flaps in this price range or just a little more.

RE: Semi new to planes need advise thanks.
I learned on this plane and sold it a couple years ago. You're going to love its large size. Much easier to see than some of the smaller trainers. It moves along pretty good with that engine also.

Valley View RC 30cc Stinson Reliant SR-9
Has anyone flown this plane? I searched this forum and didn't find any results, if I searched it correctly. I have a DLE 30 with a side carb that I could install on it. I know it's not an aerobatic plane but could it do some basic stunts? Valley View RC 30cc Stinson Reliant SR-9 Valley View RC 30cc Stinson Reliant SR-9

DLE 30 broken bolt in hub
I purchased a used DLE 30 which ran ok until I snapped off one of the four bolts in the hub. Who would be a good person to send it to to have the hub fixed, possibly converted to a single prop hole instead of the four holes? I thought I could just drill it out and retap it but I'm not that good at it I guess. And maybe an approximate price if you're interested in helping me fix it. Thanks. I'm located in Michigan, near Detroit.

RE: Hanger 9 80
I think the new one may have a 2 piece wing and the older may be a one piece design.

I can't find the package but the receipt says K10-WAT. It was $12.20. Hope this helps.

RE: DLE 30 repair
Update: I went to the local lawn and garden shop and got a Walbro carb rebuild kit for $12.00. It now runs great. I also found some NGK plugs yesterday at Oreilly auto parts for about $3.50 if anyone needs the CM6 plugs. Beats $7 or so online.

DLE 30 repair
I purchased a used DLE 30 with the side carb recently and would like a suggestion on a place where I can have it looked it to make sure it's in good running condition. I only could get it to run for a little bit and now have some time to spare while I reinforce the firewall. I was thinking maybe Hobby Services? Thanks.

RE: Filters
I'm getting my first gas engine soon and too had a question about a fuel filter. If I put a filter on my line coming from my gas can, is an additional filter really needed on the plane?

Homeade muffler?
It seems pretty common for the Magnum 91 4 stroke muffller to come loose. I just got from flying and its gone. I had some hi-temp gasket stuff on it and that didn't help. A new muffler cost around $25 but it's out of stoke at Hobby People. This muffler doesn't look too complicated. It appears that I lost the elbow with threads on both sides too, I'm guessing it's still attached to the muffler somewhere over the flying field. Anyone have an idea how i can make my own?

Smoke system on Magnum 91 4 stroke
I'm not sure if it will fit, but I would like to install a smoke system on the smaller Aeroworks Edge 46-61 size. I have a Sullivan Skywriter electric smoke system already and want to install it on a Magnum 91 4 stoke. Can this be done? I've had people say yes and no with a 4 stroke. If it can be done, would I mount the tap on the muffler closest to the manifold? I know weight can be an issue, so I bought a smaller smoke tank, 6 oz. I believe. Just enough for a couple minutes of smoke.

RE: Question about Voltwatch
I just installed a Voltwatch2 on my edge and it doesn't do what you're describing. Just 1 light stays on. I haven't flown the plane yet though. It says it has a 1 year warranty. Maybe send it back for new one?

Magnum muffler / Aeroworks Edge
I'm installing a Magnum 91 four stroke in an Aeroworks Edge 540T. I would like to keep as much of the cowl as I can and maybe use the stock muffler. Are there any different angle pipes that I can use to go to the muffler. Currently with the engine inverted, the muffler would go pretty much out the side. I would like it to exit through the botttom if possible. Or, would I have to get a Pitts style muffler like this. www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/183005.asp#More

RE: The New Guy!
I live close to you and fly at the Flying Pilgrims field. http://www.flyingpilgrims.com/phpwebsite/ Our meetings are the 3rd Thursday at the Wayne Library during the winter and at the field during the summer months. Our training nights are on Wednesdays once it warms up again but there are some guys that fly now and may help you out. I've only been flying since last June and still have my Hobbico trainer and now a low wing. If you have anymore questions about our club, PM me.

Great Planes Extra SP vs. Aeroworks Extra 540T
I posted a couple of days ago about the Great Planes 70" Revolver vs. the Aeroworks Edge 540T. So, here's my dilema. I would like to get the AW Edge but it's not in stock until Jan. 2010 and my wife wants something for me to open and not wait until Jan. I initially thought the Revolver would be a good step up from a low wing trainer that could do some aerobatics but some of you thought the Revolver may not be up to the task like the Edge would be. So, how about the Great Planes Extra 300 SP? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVVG4&P=7 Would this plane be comperable to the AW Edge in the moves it could do? I just don't want to get a plane that TH has in stock just to get a new plane if it won't satisfy me. Who has the 300 SP and is it a fun plane? Or, recommend another plane for me around the $200-250 price. I would like to put a Magnum .91 four stroke in it.

Revolver or Aeroworks Edge
I currently fly a low wing trainer similar to a Tiger with a 70" wingspan. I would like to move up to more of an aerobatic plane and was considering the Great Planes 70" Revolver or the Aeroworks Edge 540t. The Edge is currently out of stock through Jan 2010 and I'm trying to make a Christmas list. Would the Revolver be as good with aerobatics as the Edge? I plan on putting a Magnum .91 four stroke in it. The Revolver would also be cheaper through Tower Hobbies and shipping would be free. Thanks for the help.
